I chose this design because, look at it! It’s gorgeous!! The neutral colors are perfect and the intricate details make it feel very special! I used this with Naoki Chiran Harvest matcha, which I also ordered from Amazon. After washing everything, I found all the pieces easy to clean and use. My matcha was so good, I made a second one and added pistachio syrup! And now I am proud to say, I’m a matcha girl! I love this kit and will be using it daily from now on! I love tea. I love doing the tea rituals too. When I first tried matcha, I hated it. I refused to drink it. It was bitter and awful. I was ready to give up when I found the Encha brand which is a delightful matcha. Then I had to find a matcha set to try it out with.In short, I began collecting matcha sets.HOW THIS COMESThis comes very well packed in foam and it is extremely well protected. It has all of the tools and the booklet protected and stable when you get it.BOOKLETHonestly guys, I have tested and worked with a lot of items in my life. There are occasions where a company goes above and beyond in their products and deserve a shout out. This is one of those companies. The booklet in this set is fantastic. It is excellent gift quality and it has all you will want to know about matcha and the process of making and drinking it in various ways. The booklet alonemakes this worth the price.QUALITYWOW, the quality of this set is beautiful. The outside has gorgeous imprints on it. The colors are saturated, and the quality is beautiful. The set pieces are all good solid pieces and well made. This is gift level quality. the one thing I noticed is that the chasen holder is smaller than the others I have. It is not a big deal, just observation.PERFORMANCEI love this set. You know what I love most about it (other than the book and 3D designs)? I love that the inside is white! I can see my matcha. The set holds up well to my surprise as she's very rough with cooking utensils. The main bamboo mixing brush (called Cha-sen) doesn't show signs of wear which is a good testament to the quality of the fine bamboo bristles on the whisk. The ceramic whisk holder and mixing bowl are very nice, a slightly rough exterior that allows hands and fingers to grip the bowl and a very smooth finish inside the bowl when mixing are perfect along with the pour spout on the bowl is just really nice. The stainless steel mesh screen is good as it fits perfectly across the bowl and has a bent edge to secure it over the edge of the bowl. The bamboo spoon (called Cha-saku), is shaped nicely to scoop the right amount of matcha powder, and using the underside to sift the matcha through the screen to ensure only the finest powder is dropped into the mixing bowl. The ceramic spoon rest and Japanese patterned cloth are a nice touches as well.Last but not least, the booklet that it comes with is nicely done as well, The Matcha Handbook. It contains a good collection of information about Matcha, it's history, how it's made, grading, health benefits, FAQs, and How To's. This is probably one of the nicest, and complete Matcha set's that any Matcha lover would greatly appreciate having and using.
