After reading the reviews I decided to purchase this to have by the side of the chair specifically for reading purposes. But it seems to give enough ambient light for background use aswell.Very easy to put together but I did find the base was loose for the first upright pole.An easy fix, I tightened it!Went together brilliantly.The led light is great and has enough settings to cover most situations required.Touch sensitive controls on the pole, so expect the light to change as you move this.An ideal remote control with batteries supplied is ideal too.The base is sturdy enough to knock over easily.Highly recommend the lamp for ease of use alone 👍

This lamp is amazing, does everything it says and better. Just love it, n the remote is an added bonus. The light is bright and superb.

Obviously this lamp is wanted for throwing light into a corner of a room..or over your shoulder while reading. The light won't fill a large room, but it's perfectly adequate for its purpose. It can go bright and harsh..or at the touch of the remote give cosy, warm or romantic hues. Didnt think id need a remote but it is actually useful.The cable doesn't go through the whole stem..so the lower half can look a little untidy without cable ties. Otherwise it is quite smart.

I really like this floor lamp as it can function as a reading lamp or turn around and function as an uplighter. Nice feature as it makes it easy to adjust and turn on and off. I especially like that the switch is within arms length and not a floor switch. Excellent purchase and I would buy again.

Great lamp and I like the different functions. Very slim which is great for small spaces

Cannot recommend - the light colour is grim, dingy yellow to garish blue, the controls on the lamp body are far too sensitive so that you make changes unintentionally and worst of all - the 'diffused' lighting makes reading with this light quite difficult whichever colour or brightness is set. But the remote control is actually quite good - shame about the light

It was easy to put together and works well as advertised. It gives a good light and looks good

Bought for my mum for Christmas, she loves it, easy to set up, and brilliant to use the various settings, she is now able to read better in the evening in comfort, she is 76 and finds easy to control. Very pleased.
