Excellent as a pool towel holder
Sure it's marketed as a saddle blanket rack. But this Montex rack works great in an alternative use, that being a pool towel holder.I got this to replace an older swiveling towel rack that's been mounted by my pool for years, but that time and the elements had caused to fail. I thought, why not try out this item. And so far I couldn't be happier. It is very simple to install: Though it comes with drywall anchors, in my case I had to use masonry anchors I already had to mount it in place of the old one to the brick of my house by the pool. The arms are plenty long and seem to be quite sturdy; and for my use, if they're strong enough for a horse blanket they're surely more than strong enough for a few wet towels. The arms as I said are quite long, and because of my limited space I cut-off / shortened three of the arms to fit my space (so they would not extend beyond the end of the wall). But ultimately I ended up using all six -- three shortened, and three full-length -- and it looks and works great; I just flipped the three longer arms the other direction. Because the arms simply drop into place you can use as many or as few as you choose. One very nice feature for my use is the little plastic caps on the end of each arm serve to prevent the towels from blowing off in the windy conditions where I live.All-in-all, this is a great alternative use that fit my needs beautifully.

Heavy Duty for what I need
I got the Saddle Pad Rack for storing items for photo shoots, and it’s been perfect! It’s heavy-duty for the items I need it for and works really well to display blankets or backgrounds for my shoots. It was easy to install, and I’m using it indoors in my studio. The arms are long enough to hold a couple of items each, which is exactly what I needed. Highly recommend!

heavy duty saddle pad rack
This saddle pad rack is heavy solid metal and very sturdy. Perfect for storing my hoard of saddle pads. I like that it swivels so that it can be laid flat against the wall to save space.

Not sturdy
This product will probably work fine if you have light, English pads and women who are careful to take care of equipment. However, if you are running a Western barn with heavy pads and 4-H kids who are tossing tack up as fast as they can so they can go get ice cream, these bars are going to bend.

Excellent organizer
I like everything about this product, but one thing. It did not come with instructions, but was pretty easy to figure out. It does come with the mounting hardware and a drill bit, which is a nice touch, as well as drywall anchors. What I don't care for is that the bars fit into plastic pieces, which fit into notches in the main mounting piece, but there's nothing that secures the plastic pieces in - they can just lift right out, very easily. In fact, when I opened the box this came in, there were several plastic pieces that had fallen out of their slot, and without instructions, it took me a few minutes to figure out where they went. It would seem that it'd be somewhat easy to make it so those pieces don't fall out. Otherwise, I was able to reorganize my garage so that my girls' riding gear is on a new shelf and I was able to install this next to that. I was able to double up pads on each rung, so it's holding 12 pads right now, and it's easy to swing the bars out to access any given pad. It's much more organized than having the pads folded up on a shelf, which get unfolded as they pull out the ones they want from the middle of the stack and then cram them back when they get home.

ENDLESS USES - NOT JUST FOR EQUESTIANS
Strong construction with a 120lb load capacity. No mention of rust resistance. This can be used to store, dry, air out, or hand all manner of equipment. The 32" rods are long enough for rugs - which are some of the items I will use this for.

Easy access
Saddle pads are my biggest problem to store. They don't fit in a trunk, too many of them to store on a rack, and they always fall over. This is an easy and convenient way to keep them, especially in a small space . It's very sturdy, great quality, and easy to store.

Much needed piece of equipment!
I finally came to the realization that I needed to do something with my saddle pads other than have them stacked in a pile. This is perfect! Super easy to install, just three screws to the wall and the arms slip into the holders. The arms are long enough to easily hold my dressage pads. I love being able to see the pads and easily choose which one I want to use without digging through the pile. Definitely looks much neater too. It seems quite sturdy and I think will give years of use
