Works good cutting my goats hooves

These do not work on goat hooves. They aren't sharp at all. Causes discomfort to the animal because all it does is pinch the over growth and bend between the blades but doesn't cut through. Product quality is very poor.

These work and come decently sharp.The handles have a good thickness and they are comfortable enough to hold.They work fine if you trim a small amount at a time.If you try to cut more than a little you have to squeeze hard and the handle twists instead of stopping when the handles touch.The quality matches the price.

Terrible. So glad I bought a different set as well. These were just terrible to try and use. I did one goat who is always the easiest and these would hardly cut at all.

They need to be more sturdy. The blades separated and folded the hoof. I should have just used my sturdy scissors. If they were just a little more sturdy they would have worked just fine.

doesnt come with a honed edge. . . couldnt cut hot butter. . . other trimmers i have purchased were sharpened and i could go right to work !

Okay, so I actually ordered two pairs of these. For some reason one was delivered on time, the other had not even shipped. Anyway, they have great spring release but the tip of the shears are not sharp. Therefore, they do not work well. We use them on goats to trim hooves but honestly, the manufacture apparently has never worked goats. I will not purchase again the second pair, if they show up will be returned.
