Big European flavor. Dresses up that charcuterie board!
I like to make charcuterie boards when we have company and this sausage arrived just in time for such an occasion. Both the box itself and sausage, with the cute red string - makes an impressive first impression. My guests LOVED this sausage and I noticed it disappeared fast after it was served! Big flavor, too - different - and of an 'old world' quality that gets noticed! Not overly hot but there's a bit of black pepper flavor and just very very savory; deeply colored and richly flavorful. This is a much higher quality dried sausage than I typically serve and the difference between this classic Iberico and my "usual" fare is instantly noticeable. It's pricey so not an every day treat, but it's something I'd love to serve around Christmas. I might place another order for it then. Wonderful.

A sausage so wild my wife couldn’t handle it
Reviewing food is very difficult. Everyone has their own tastes and preferences. So to give context, my tastes are pretty boorish. I don’t turn my nose up at even gas station food. But I do like to venture out of my comfort zone and this was an attempt at that. The sausage is tasty to me. It has a very substantial flavor and it sits with me for a while. My wife tried it as well and didn’t enjoy it.It would fit exceptionally well in an advanced charcuterie spread with some nice cheeses, nuts and fruits.Visually the sausage looks a little bland being mostly a red sausage with a tiny bit of yellow splotches. The packaging was very good. Sealed in plastic and in its original casing, along with the string they use to tie it up. While I buy things like this online based on weights, the image shows that the sausage is maybe half to three quarters the length of the box.In summary, if you need a flavorful bit of sausage for a party platter this is a decent buy. If you need something spicy or visually dynamic look elsewhere.

Green mold
This arrived moldy. There was green mold about an inch long on one end. Gross.

Phenomenal
This iberico pork from Spain is absolutely delicious! I loved this dry cured sausage. It is a pretty large portion of sausage that will supply a large charcuterie board or several small individual ones. It is the kind in a casing with a string. I simply sliced into the end of the sausage, peeled back the casing, and thinly sliced the sausage for my cheese and meat plate. Trust me, you only need to thinly slice it because every bite is bursting with flavor. While the price seems high for everyday budgets, this seems like a great purchase for a Christmas charcuterie board or other special occasions. Iberico pork is some of the most prized meat in the world, so the price seems fair to me. I would caution against getting this for a gift, as the box it came in was smashed and ripped and not at all presentable. Highly recommend!

Good cured sausage
This dry-cured sausage is flavorful and spicy. It comes vacuum-sealed in clear plastic and packaged in a retail box. It is made with pork meat (25% Iberico Pata Negra pork meat). It tastes great on pizzas. The flavor is rich and the texture is nice. It packs a good heat as well. Not super spicy. Overall, a good cured sausage. A little pricey but worth giving it a try. We enjoyed it a lot. Product of Spain.

Spicy sausage perfect for your pizza
Font-Sans was established in 1917 to produce traditional cured sausages. It is located in the Pyrenees that favors the natural curing process most of the year. Their cured meats are to die for and this one is no exception. This sausage meat comes from the Cerdo Iberico, the most appreciated breed of pig in the food world. The sausage looks different than the picture (see pics). It is a little spicier than I expected, but still very good. We put it on our home made pizzas and it is mouthwatering delicious. I am going to try the Black Truffle next!
