I've never bought the expensive makeup sponges and I have never seen a bargain sponges fall to pieces like these. Normally, I can use a bargain makeup sponge for at least 3 weeks and sometimes even then there are no signs of wear on the sponge. Maybe I got a bad package, but these are the WORST. One of them actually started crumbling on the very first use! Pieces in the middle of the sponges just start crumbling out as I apply the cream foundation; it's not the edges that tear. The record (best sponge) so far is 4 uses before it starts crumbling in the middle a pieces of the sponge start falling onto the countertop. I'll finish the package, but I won't be buying these again. To add insult to injury; these were already overpriced for bargain makeup sponges, but for no apparent reason everyone really marks them up if you only want 1 shape instead of a variety pack.
