Nice Rod for the money
Name brand Rod (Shimano) I purchased on Amazon, for less than it cost them to ship it. It is "possible" these where sold for less, as "seconds". I say that, because the line guides are not in perfect alignment, as you would expect them to be. They are not bent, just not in a perfect line. Casting distance still seems fine using Berkley Fusion fishing line. I have fished many years, but I am not a gear expert or a tackle connoisseur. I got a good deal, properly packaged, and quickly shipped from the manufacturer. Direct ship, so not a knockoff. Great cork. Beautiful finish. OK (carbon) reel seat. Sensitivity average. Action seems good, but I have not used it enough to tell for certain.

Great Rod
I wouldn't fix anything with this rod. In fact, I had one just like it and lost it on a recent beach trip and came back to get another. It's light, rated medium-heavy and has handled every fish we pull in surf-fishing. Spanish Mackerel, blues and reds in the 4-5 lb range, keeper flounder and everything in size below those. It's not a rod I'd want going after large fish, but for us? Worked great on everything we caught in salt or fresh water, including a 10lb catfish. Also a great casting rod. Pair it with a decent reel and maybe 12lb test and you can sling the stuff so far people look at you to see what you're using.
