This softball face mask has been awesome for my daughter who plays softball. It is easy to adjust the straps so that the mask fits comfortably for her. Its protection gives great peace of mind as it prevents stray balls or line drives from a direct hit to the face.

My daughter wanted a back up face mask so she had one to leave in her bag and one to leave at home and not always have to remember to grab it. For a back up mask I really didn't want to pay the high dollar as her mask she uses for games. I found this mask and thought we would give it a try.Overall I'm quite happy with the construction and options it has. It is very light weight and made of a durable Alloy steel. It is a black matte, which my daughter always uses. The chin and forehead padding is all velcro and adjustable so you can adjust it to your liking. The velcro works great and holds everything in place well. The straps are adjustable in 3 places to get that perfect fit. My daughter is 11, with a thin profile face, and we purchased the adult mask and it fits great. The bar spacing is perfect so she has a great range of view. My daughter did have 1 complaint though. She does not like the white padding along the forehead and on each side of the eyes. She prefers everything to be black. I thought this would be hidden once she got it on, but it really stands out like a sore thumb with everything else being black. I really didn't notice this in the picture online because the mask had a white background and it blended in. I would give it 5 stars but bumping it down to 4 due to the white padding. This is a great mask with many great features, I just wish it was all black with no white on it.

Well made and looks nice. My daughter has been keeping it in her bag as a backup for when her current one finally gives out, so I am not sure the longevity of the product yet, but the price is good and the mask is solid.

My daughter, who is playing 3rd and 4th grade softball this year, decided she wanted to try pitching. Of course, we need to consider the safety of pitchers, and parks and recreation do provide pitching masks for the teams to use. However, one never knows how well they are cleaned or what the person before them has, so we decided to get her her very own mask.She loves this mask. It feels very sturdy, and I am confident that if a ball hit her in the face, it would properly protect her. She also says that it is very comfortable to wear. Finally, she loves the fact that the color matches her bat nicely. :)

My daughter loves this mask, the color, the way it fits, and it seems very durable.. It also seems to provide enough protection for her as well. Great appearance as well!

First off, this is a decent fielders mask. It will definitely do the job of protecting your face. I use mine when I'm pitching to my daughter because I wear glasses and don't want them broken if she hits the ball at my face. It has already saved them a few times. The cushions it comes with help soften the blow when a ball does hit your face. What I hate, is the color of the cushions. They are bright white and show up every sweat stain and dirt. I took the picture before it started to discolor but it doesn't look nearly as white now. Most come with black cushions for this reason. Another thing is that the straps are already starting to fray. As can be seen in the picture. Other than those two things, I believe it is a good value. I ordered myself an adult size but I have a small head (I can actually wear my daughter's youth mask). It still fits me but I had to adjust it down to almost the smallest setting. It stays in place and does it's job. Definitely recommend for any parent or player wanting a decent fielders mask!

Youth softball is played considerably close. If you have a batter with a good swing, that can be a scary situation for a pitcher at the considerably shorter length of the mound for reaction time on 9/10U teams. This is a good insurance policy for your daughter's face in such an event. While this mask isn't anything considerably fancy, it fits well and I've been told that it's comfortable to wear on/off for an entire extended game if needed. If college girls wear facemasks for safety, it's a consideration worth taking since the rules permit using it for safety of the pitchers. Most other baseball/softball safety equipment is more expensive generally, so consider it as a solid investment.

I don't love this product. First, it seems kind of cheaply made. Second, the sizing is way off. It says that for 13 and older, they recommend an adult size. Well, I ordered a kids size for my 11 year old (who has a small head and wears a youth helmet)... and it was way too small. It barely fits my 9 year old, even with adjusting the straps.I hate the white padding. It stands out and looks terrible. It also will get dirty and gross really quick, which is really poor. It should have black padding on a black metal face mask.I think this will do its intended job - protecting the face. But first you have to get a size that fits and then understand that it doesn't look great.
