Happy 60th Anniversary, Doctor!
Watching these specials on Disney+ are what properly introduced me to Doctor Who and the brilliant trio of producer/writer Russell T. Davies, actor David Tennant as the 10th/14th Doctor, and actress Catherine Tate as Donna Noble, so I am so glad to finally be able to own these specials in a physical format.I'm not going to give any spoilers for anyone who has not yet seen them, but suffice it to say that the three together ("The Star Beast", "Wild Blue Yonder", and "The Giggle") are a marvelous return to form for Doctor Who, a wonderful and fresh celebration of the show's 60th anniversary, and a joyous reunion of Tennant and Tate as the Doctor and Donna that will delight fans of the new series' fourth season. As to technical specs, the specials look and sound so much better on Blu-ray than on streaming, and each disc is packed with special features, including the full UK versions of "Doctor Who: Unleashed" for each special, which were otherwise only shown in bits and pieces online.Whether you're rewatching these specials or coming to them for the first time, if you're a Doctor Who fan, you're in for a very lovely Christmas treat with this great set.

What's in the scenes and behind them?
All sorts of details were including with this; including commentary; a review of the Doctor Donna's adventures together, and a peek at Jodie Whittaker transforming into David Tennant. If you're a Doctor Who fan, this is a great addition to your collection!

Finally Released in the US!
After nearly a year, the three 2023 specials from Disney+ were released in the US in December of 2024. The three discs, one per each episode, are packed with extras!

looks and sounds great
Was happy to finally have these 3 episodes on bluray. Not sure why it took an entire year to get them released in the US, though I can take a guess it has to do with Disney's takeover of the show in the US.The episodes look great. They sound great. Each disc has a nice assortment of bonus materials. The back of the packaging says in big bold text INCLUDES SPECIAL FEATURES. No indication of what they are but its quite a list. Some are very short segments, but if you were to combine them all, you got enough content thats the same length of the episodes, if not longer.Only nitpick I have is that only one episode includes the video commentary featurette. There was one for each episode on BBC's Doctor Whoverse website . A shame to not have all of those extras included on the bluray. Maybe its asking too much to have had the additional classic Who episodes that featured the cast in newly filmed bookends. That would have made the "60th Anniversary" on bluray seem complete.Highly recommend this set to those who are fans of David Tenant's run as the Doctor. As well as for those that really enjoyed when Russell T Davies was the showrunner. This felt like a return to the first four seasons of the series with the modern stylings.
