NASB 1995 Side-Column Reference Bible, Black Genuine Leather

Excellent preachers bible with big bold texts. I also fell in love with this version again. It is easy enough to read, but similar to the KJV I was raised with.

Clear print and a good translation. I was disappointed that it is in American English, as that had not been clear, but it is a small detail. This translation is one of the best modern translations.

Unfortunately my new Bible arrived and the imitation leather was very scuffed on the outside which was a bit disappointing but it’s what’s inside that counts so I have still given it five stars. Just used some clear shoe polish to buff it up. The font size is very comfortable to read. So far so good.

- This review is for the Deluxe Black Leathersoft Edition -If you want a NKJV (which I think is one of the 2-3 best) then I believe this Thomas Nelson is the best value available from any publisher. The look and feel of the cover rivals much more expensive leather Bibles. The page thickness and opacity are both very good. The comfort print used is among the best out there. One note of importance is although it says it's a 13.5 pt font it is actually a 12 pt. This same text block used in a different Nelson edition has been correctly described as 12 pt font. For a thirty dollar Bible you wouldn't expect two excellent quality double-sided satin ribbons and beautiful spine hubs but that's what you get. This is absolutely a solid all-around daily use Bible with full cross references, book introductions, and concordance. Only if you need a note taking Bible or a single column reader would you need to look elsewhere.I've had it for 4 months and use it for reading/study on a daily basis. It's only gotten better as it becomes more "broken in". I'll try to remember to give an update in a year or two as to how it's holding up. My one slight concern for longevity is the paste-down card stock liner and end sheet. I do wish those were a more durable vinyl material, but we'll see. I'm a senior and have owned and still own several Bibles and this one definitely stands out even over some $60-80 genuine leather Bibles.

It is my favorite bible. It was to replace my other worn out bible. Very good and readable print.
