Does just what it is supposed to do. Not brilliant quality but hey it was as cheap as chips - so not a problem. So as long as you know how to use a tea strainer i.e. make the tea in the pot and then strain it into a cup (some reviewers clearly have no concept of the purpose of a tea strainer and not a tea container!) it works brilliantly. And tea stains....derr!

For a one-use product, I've found that lots of traditional tea-balls etc are useless for fine teas. This has a much finer weave, meaning hardly anything (if anything) gets through. I love the sturdy feel of it, and it's little cup. The sieve is perhaps a little shallow (not suspended in the tea like basket-types) but price-wise it was a better choice for me and still very effective. It's better for pouring from a tea pot into a cup, rather than making tea in a mug, but that being said it does better with mugs than anything I've had in the past. I didn't think I could be this pleased with a tea strainer, until I got this one and realised just how awful my other ones have been.

Although it does the job intended; it would have been better if the sieve were a little larger; you need to pour tea very carefully or you could end up with the tea leaves in your cup!

Perfect for people who love real tea straines very well and it's just the right size fits perfect on a small tray with your tea pot and cup and saucer.

Well made strainer perfect to cope for the fine leaf blend teas. Sits well in the rest and stable if knocked. Wide enough to rest across a pint mug for tea. Quality above the price tag

I bought an identical tea strainer in England for £1, but since I now live in Germany, I had no other choice to order more of these for my Afternoon Teas despite the higher cost on Amazon. The strainer is good quality, and can be hand washed or placed in the dishwasher. With my old one, the mesh has held its shape and hasn't discoloured from the tea leaves. The strainer fits perfectly over fine bone china teacups or even mugs.

Use this to dust my cakes with icing sugar rather than making tea but its's well made! It's own resting holder is a nice touch also. Would recommend.

This tea strainer looks exactly like the picture. Made of good quality metal, it is functional looking and works well. The box it came in was slightly squashed but I wasn't bothered by this.
