Neewer 47"/120cm Octagonal Speedlite, Studio Flash, Speedlight Umbrella Softbox with Carrying Bag for Portrait or Product Photography

I expected a good quality umbrella and found it to be of a flimsy material, not worth 1/4th of the money paid. This is priced almost at 4000, and Godox 48" octa is much more better quality than this, and it comes to only 2000+ rupees.. Highlight is, you cannot return the item.. You can only have a replacement.. The original packaging was also not there.. Sincerely request you not to go for this item.. I'm surprised at the 5 star rating of other customers.. Maybe they haven't seen how good godox quality is, for half the price..

To be honest I didn't expect much as I had seen this product for literally £25 elsewhere ... I paid £55 as I wanted next day delivery and only this seller had the item in stock. For £55 I actually think it is a bargain ... at £25 it would be ridiculous value. It arrived today and the build quality is certainly more than reasonable for the cost. The material feels reasonably durable and the internals of the softbox are mixed plastic and metal. The plastics feel flexible and certainly don't feel fragile. There is give in them as indeed there should be. The box opens up and is very quickly to set up as it has a traditional umbrella opening system. The front diffuser attaches quickly using standard velcro strips and the unit is supplied in a carry bag. RESULTS Of course having only arrived today I can't give you a massive amount of feedback however I have quickly tried it with both a speedlite and a Broncolor head. The light is soft and even with both although I would use a higher powered speedlite as this box does contain a good amount of internal surface area. The light fall off is pleasant and although obviously not as soft as a 5 or 6' Octobox it drops off nicely providing minimal shadow behind the subject. I wouldn't use this for photographing large groups of people however for photographing individual subjects in relatively soft light this is ideal. The zip opening is quite short and as such it would be best used with a boom arm. This however isn't a criticism and I would advise anyone who wants maximum flexibility from one of these units to be buying a boom arm regardless. I see this as a great piece of travel kit and I will probably throw it in the car for family holidays and days out as well as using it for photographing clients. Overall a nice addition to anyone's kit list. Of course there are better built and better quality items out there but if you are expecting below average quality and results with this item you will be more than pleasantly surprised. In my eyes well worth the 5 star rating I have given it! I will try to post some single light shots as part of a review update in weeks to come.

Quality octobox, good size for optimum light diffusion. Has extra diffusion panel inside to soften the light even further. Easy to set up. Love Neewer price tag, cost so much less than other brands but does just as good a job.

As a light modifier for my Canon 580EX external flash, this Neewer umbrella/softbox really works well. The surface area of the front casts a lot of soft even light on the subject, though the depth of the softbox makes it a bit awkward in the tight confines in which I frequently have to shoot (I photograph newborn babies, usually in their homes). The umbrella opens up and closes down easily so that it can be inserted into the handy travel pouch for transporting. It is easy to drop it onto the light stand through the open slit on the bottom, and attaching the white diffuser panel is a cinch since it has strips of velcro all around the edges. I leave mine just loosely tacked in place because I don't want the loud ripping sound of the velcro to disturb a sleeping baby if I have to reach inside to adjust the flash head for any reason. I'm sure this won't be the last softbox I will ever buy, but for a fledgling professional shooter, this is an easy investment to make with an immediate payback in terms of the great light it produces.

Très costaux, se monte très vite - quand on monte son studio devant le client - un bonheur! Très belle lumière. Costaux, ne se casse pas comme les parapluies dès que ça tombe... Par contre attention à la chaleur, j'ai touché une lampe spot lors d'une prise de vue en intérieur, ça m'a tout de suite cramé le tissu en plastique... c'est tout à fait de ma faute, c'est juste pour mettre en garde! 2 choses que j'aime moins: - je ne trouve pas que ce soit un véritable 120cm (j'ai acheté la taille 120), mais plutôt du 110 - la bande de scratch pour accrocher le diffuseur est très fine, quasi impossible de rajouter une grille de nid d'abeille (que j'ai acheté à part) A mon avis, cette boite de lumière parapluie (ou ce type de boite) a le meilleur rapport portabilité, légèreté, facilité de montage et encombrement / qualité de lumière! Je possède également une boite parapluie de 150cm, mais avec un speed-ring. Elle est beaucoup plus lourde, encombrante et moins stable vue que le pied est derrière, pas au milieu en dessous pour la soutenir! Et elle ne permet pas de zoomer la lumière; la position du flash par rapport au fond de la boite change le résultat... Je recommande sans hésitation, j'en ai pris deux.
