I hate cooking rice on the stove. So I got this rice cooker and it has been a game changer. I absolutely love it! It comes with a measuring cup and spoon. It also automatically switches from "cook" to "warm," so you don't have to worry about keeping your eye on it. It does not shut off automatically though. Which I let it sit for a couple of minutes on warm before I unplug it. If you let it sit too long on warm, the rice will start to burn to the bottom of the insert pot. But if you unplug it and allow it start cooling down, you shouldn't have any problem with rice sticking to it at all. It is also very easy to clean and small enough to store that it doesn't take up too much space in my cabinet or on my counter. It is easy to use. You measure the rice with the cup provided, add the same about of water to the rice, cover, and push the switch down to cook. It's that easy! As long as you measure everything with the provided cup, you'll have perfectly cooked rice every time.

Pot insert showed signs of flaking, discoloration, tarnishing within 2 uses. There is no nonstick coating, which probably contributes to how fast insert deteriorated. What a shame. It was the size we needed and the base is fine. Our other rice cooker (not same brand), with a nonstick coating, has lasted us for over 10 years, with only slight discoloration. If you are looking at same pot, same brand, look for nonstick coating. We wish we had remembered to.

It works well but kinda weird there is no off button have to plug and unplug it when not in use? Not a big deal though lol

We needed a new cooker because we had ours for a few years. I ordered this one thinking it would be just fine, even though the pots are not made of the same material. I have used it twice. It cooks really well and the rice is perfect. But the rice has stuck to the bottom of the pot both times. The first time, I used butter, my usual. It stuck so this time I used a non-stick spray on it, it still stuck. I'm not sure whether I should keep or send it back.

It's perfect for my needs. I burned 2 saucepans trying to make rice, so hopefully this will help.
