Mystery Ranch Women's Scree 32 (W) Backpack

Fits all my gear! Easy to adjust. Comfortable fit!

I really like this Scree 32 backpack from Mystery Ranch. This is my introduction to the Mystery Ranch brand and I am really impressed.This daypack is very comfortable to wear. I really like that Mystery Ranch makes a women's backpack line. This Scree 32 backpack is female specific and offers a specialized and tailored fit for my female frame. Both the back and hip belt are generously padded with great adjustability. I'm small framed (5'5" 110 lbs with a short torso) and ordered the XS/S size, it fits me very comfortably and the combination of straps and buckles allow for a true customized fit. The tag gives some helpful instructions on "how to fit" the pack if you need some advice.This daypack is very rugged and great quality with nice touches. All the buckles, YKK coated zips, and drawstrings are excellent quality and operate smoothly. The numerous pockets and the thoughtful layout of this daypack allows for great gear organization. I especially appreciate the water bottle pockets which allows for easy reach. The construction is top notch!Aside from the comfort and functionality of this Coulee 25 daypack, it looks great too. I chose the Shadow Moon color and it's cool looking and unique. I love the dark color with the pops of blue - the interior is also blue which makes for a visually interesting detail and adds functionality by allowing you to more easily see your items inside.I'm really happy with this Scree 32 backpack from Mystery Ranch for its comfort, functionality, and style. I fully expect this backpack to get lots of use on my outdoor adventures for years to come!

Mystery Ranch has some great products and their customer support has been very helpful but this bag is average at best! Shocked on all the positive reviews. The material is very thin and the bag has WAY too many straps and things hanging off the bag that just make it annoying and most are useless. I sent this back and bought their 2 day assault bag for them. The bags aren't even in the same category of quality! The 2 day assault's material is amazing. Super thick and very well done. Looks like it would last forever. Also the bag has just the right amount of pockets, and straps hanging off the bag. Before buying this, you should consider that bag! Night and day in terms of quality...

Finally, a women's specific daypack that fits me well! I have never owned any Mystery Ranch packs, but I am very impressed by the quality, fit, and features of this particular pack. The S/XS fits my 5' 4'' frame very well, and the inner rigid support can be easily adjusted to accommodate different torso lengths (shown in the picture). The hip belt is also removable, which is nice if I just want to take this pack into town and don't need the waist belt. The feature I really like is the easy-access front pocket. Unlike most daypacks, you can access the main pocket with either a zipper that goes down the front of the pack , or you can access the main compartment by unzipping the top zippers. The front 2 pockets on the front are convenient for quickly stashing a rain jacket or other clothing, and there are 2 decent-sized water bottle compartments on either side of the pack. The daypack itself is very comfortable. Though it is probably not large enough for an overnight stay, it is great for day hiking.
