Fiesta 6-Inch Trivet, Scarlet

I actually bought this as a spoon rest. I cook a lot, and I'm forever resting my stirring spoons on the counter and leaving drips/puddles. I figured if I left a pretty trivet on the counter, I would be inclined to use it. It works! And then I can put it in the dishwasher afterward. Win!I know Fiesta makes actual spoon rests, but they never work for me.

I bought this to use as a spoon rest. I like having space for multi spoons and for bigger spoons/spatulas. This is working out great. It has enough bumps and grooves to keep liquid from dripping off. I'm not sure it would make the best trivet...honestly never use a trivet in my life so not sure.

While these are not very good to use for a trivet, they make nice decoration pieces (like Bosson Heads, those freaky little chalk heads that haunted you as a youngster...) You can string a small plate hanger around them and line a Kitchen soffit with these for decoration. They are 6 inches across and quite heavy little pottery disks for their size. Very nice little Fiesta piece, always able to find them for a great price here on Amazon.

Scarlet is my Christmas Fiesta choice and I love the trivet for the teapot. Always looks so bright and cheery on the counter and works so well to protect the counter. Love, love my Fiestaware!!

Bought these as a Christmas gift for my mother in law and she loves them. She has been collecting fiesta-ware for many years and she's only been able to find one color. So glad I found them here in so many colors! They are beautiful. The photos and colors online do not do them any justice. When I opened the package the colors are so vibrant!!! AND THEY ARE JUST BEAUTIFUL!

I love you Fiesta! I snatched this up a few months after they announced the Plum color was being discontinued. Naturally, prices skyrocketed and the trivet was the only thing that was still normally priced. So I bought it. Did I need it? OF COURSE I DID.

Bought it a couple of months ago, largely for the looks, as we have a bunch of Lapis Fiestaware on display in our kitchen as accent pieces. It's not very practical because it is round and relatively small. I do use it under small, round casserole dishes. I wouldn't under a large baking dish. My husband hates it because he is concerned that if something is put too close to an edge it will tip off, and it's hard to see where the edges are because it's so much smaller than the hot dishes we put on it. I worry about that too when my kids serve themselves. It's probably not worth it for use, although it's fine for display.

It can handle really hot pots/pans and doesn't show any burn marks.
