I got Tamagotchis for my adult children this Christmas, and I can honestly say it was the hit of the holiday! As soon as they opened them, their faces lit up with excitement—it brought back so many nostalgic memories from their childhood. The nostalgia is real! This Tamagotchi is gen 1 and it is very pretty. It has pink flowers and it is so much fun to relive this memory from when I was a kid. If you remember Tamagotchi's from your childhood, these are what you are thinking of. This is not a new one so if you are looking for a new version this is not it. This is a recreation from the 90's and I am so beyond happy they made a comeback. Cuteness! The little alien is so cute! You care for it and feed it and can even play a game with it. Be careful not to neglect it though because they can die, but you can also reset it if it dies too. Have fun with your new virtual pet! The memories this brought back from my childhood are real! What are you waiting for?

Such a fun and nostalgic gift for my daughter!I bought this Tamagotchi for my daughter, and she absolutely loves it! It's been so fun watching her take care of her little virtual pet — feeding it, playing with it, and learning responsibility in a really cute and engaging way. I never had a tamagotchi growing up, and totally missed out on the original craze back in the day. With these new re-releases though, I decided to pick one up - and oh boy, it's simple but I love it so much! I picked out the blue colored Amazon exclusive tamagotchi, purely because it comes with a plastic case, while the others do not. And I'm glad I did, as the case does protect the entire unit, and so far has done a great job of protecting it from getting damaged. I've dropped this several times, I accidentally stepped on it, and it got rained on a little bit when attached to my bag - so definitely like the case, even if it's just a plastic clip-on piece. Now for the tamagotchi itself - there is a bit of a learning curve, but after a day I figured it out. The instructions it came with were vague, so googling all my questions really made a difference. The programming on this is almost identical to the originals, it is fairly simple; definitely recommend to anuone new to taking care of a tamagotchi. Now my only complaint is that the device makes these awful and loud beeping noises every time you press a button, BUT you can turn it off by holding the A and C buttons at the same time. The tamagotchi will still make a sound when it needs something, though. I will eventually get another one in a different colors, as I did have a hard time picking out just one as my favorite!

It’s tiny and the screen is hard to see but that’s okay. It’s cute and there’s a lot of things you can do. The only complaint I have is that it is very very loud. You can mute it though so that solves the issue
