My wife bought a potted tomato plant to have on our deck. For the first week, it seemed to look very nice. After that, it looked like it was wilting a bit and turning yellowish. You can see that in my photo. So, thinking I did something wrong, since I'm in charge of it, I ordered this cool little soil tester. It checks the PH, soil temperature, the moisture of the soil and the intensity of the light.There are only two buttons on the whole device so it is both easy to learn how to operate it and to actually operate it. As soon as I stuck the soil tester into the dirt, I got a very fast reading of the soil my tomato plant is in. I also like that it doesn't weigh a lot but feels very sturdy and is heavier than I was expecting. I'm hoping this relates to the build quality. I reinserted the probe several times to see if the readings would change substantially, which they didn't. It gave consistent readings each time. Also, no matter where I stuck the probe in the soil, it stayed in place nicely.This is an easy 5 Star product from IRTOV. I wish it was a little less in price, but hey, you get what you pay for and this is a great bargain.

Simple, easy to use, wish they would either allow you to adjust the screen so you can actually read it, i would just take a picture of it to read it. Also. I wish the settings would stay, instead of having to switch from C⁰ to F⁰ every use or if I switch from reading temp to pH and back.None of that is a deal breaker. It does what I need. Simple to use. Just minor design feature dislikes

I picked this up recently to help me monitor my indoor plants better, and it’s been super handy. The screen is clear and easy to read, even from a bit of a distance. I really like that it shows soil moisture and temperature and it takes the guesswork out of watering.Set-up was effortless, just pulled it out of the packaging and stuck it into the pot. The readings seem accurate so far. I tested it on a few different plant soils, and it helped me realize some were getting over watered.

very cool product! we've been wanting get into our soil to plant some trees and flowers, and wondered if it was even possible based on the weather here. so this will definitely come in handy regarding whether or not the plants will survive. I like how it can tell celsius and Fahrenheit , and the moisture levels too. I also like how the display is at an angel so when you put the pointed part in the dirt, u dont have to tilt your head so much to see the display bc its already at an age.

Love this tool. I'm always second-guessing if I have watered enough or if a plant needs water. This fits the bill perfectly. I am now double-checking the plants that tend to get overwatered before watering. Once I've watered all my plants, I wait a bit and go back to be sure all plants have adequate water. It works perfectly! I feel confident I'm not over- or under-watering. It's perfect!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Thought it would give me more accurate ph reading.Yet I must have high acidic soil as I put it in potting soil and then my garden soil and the reading was the same.

the Ph value is pretty close to accuracy, i had to purchase a few differnet ones to validate what is exactly the ph value of my soil, until i was able to elimiate the bad ones i had before and end up using this one. the build quality is very good and the display is very clear and visiblity is good too.
