Works great!!
Replaces this really old HVAC control panel with this one and it works perfectly. I wish the temp was in Celcius instead of of Fahrenheit but apart from that it works perfectly.

Easy, nice, works
Not only is this good value for the money, but it is very capable since it supports two stage cooling and two stage heating. You can select between electric and gas heating and make other "technician" adjustments, but all the defaults worked for me.Installing the backplate was very easy for me since the mounting holes were identical to the Honeywell thermostat this one replaced. The unit comes in a nice little box with mounting hardware, and install and operating manuals and little stickers to apply to your wiring so that you know which wire goes to where. I didn't use the stickers (I took a good picture of the old wiring instead showing the B, R, C, etc. symbols), but it's a nice reminder to pay attention to which color wires go where since you have no idea how the wires were really wired down at the furnace, unless you look there too.I like that this unit has a hard button for cool/heat/off, much better than having to go into menus to change over. That little flip down lid at the bottom holds the two optional AAA batteries that saves settings during power outages. Nice that the batteries are easy to access.

Great
Great and worked as expected

Glad I found this.
Multi stage thermostats are harder to find than I thought. After a couple of winters of having issues with the original thermostat, I got this and as soon as I read the instructions and hooked it up myself, it has worked as if it came with the furnace. Shipping was a little slow coming from the US, but overall, I'm very happy.

Good for its value
If this was one of those expensive thermostats, I would've given a lower rating. But it's budget so I can't really complain. The install was easy and the directions for programming was also easy. I also like the flexibility on what turns on and how long it's on. And as someone who came from a dark age thermostat, the background light on this thing is really nice. Some reviewers had problems with the buttons being sticky, but so far 2 weeks in I haven't experienced this... yet.But... this thermostat is just not flexible enough. I live in the desert so 90°F isn't a high temperature for me. I have a power saving time so my electric bill isn't sky high. During this time I can't have the AC on at all. If I were able to set the temps to 99° that'd be fine but I can't. 90° max. If I were able to flex the temp calibration down to -10° degrees, that'd be great but I can't. Only - 3° max. I have a 2 story house so I put this downstairs where it will be less of a problem. I'm going to have to go with a smart thermostat if I want anything for upstairs.Update: Unfortunately, I had to return this. The limitations just weren't cutting it. Also, within the month of having this t-stat, the AC hooked up to it stopped working. An electrical board got burnt up and then some which took me near $1k to fix. It's likely just coincidental, but regardless I removed this thermostat when I got the AC fixed. Gonna go with something more expensive and reputable.
