Royal Blue Oval Loose Synthetic Sapphire Stone Corundum Gemstone Cut Faceted 3A VVS (1.5cts-13.5cts, 1Pcs)

It's a nice looking gem, properly cut and polished. I checked the density and it is indeed corundum, though it does not fluoresce (which is normal for sapphire). I bought the 7.5 ct one and in my opinion you shouldn't go too much larger than that -- it's opaque enough that you'll end up with very little light making it all the way through. I suppose that's a matter of taste, though. At this size it's a bit big for a ring but would work well for most other projects.

Nice stone. Maybe just a little bit dark, but overall, a great sapphire.

In the pictures it already appears to have a dark tone, but in reality it is pretty much opaque. You cant see through it and even held against bright light it is virtually black. I would not recommend this as a stone someone would wear.
