My office at work is rather drab thanks to the color of the walls. As such, I am always looking for ways to liven the environment, especially with colorful lights. I now have a couple of sets of these light panels, so I arranged them in a pattern that spells out the company initials. I also assembled and programmed them to operate so that they light up in an order that gives the appearance of writing the letters. As soon as the last panel of the final letter lights up, the process starts over again with a different color, adding some cheer to my office and providing me with an easy icebreaker. I would recommend these light panels to anyone wanting to liven up a room, especially a game room or dorm room.

I have seen these light panels and was very interested in them. There is so much that you can do with LED lights now, with more items added all the time. These 8 light panels are a small set that would be perfect in your den or child's room. If you are looking to set up a decorative display in a Family Room or Living Room, you'll need to buy additional panels so you can add on for a larger display.Each panel has a number of connectors that you can connect other panels into to create an almost unlimited pattern. Using the app or enclosed remote control, you can have any number of colors, in many displays based on Seasons, Holidays, Life events, or any number of patterns you can personalize. This takes a bit of learning, and I haven't mastered it yet, but you can program any panel to display any color you want. From there you can give it motion from flashing, fading, streaming in any colors you pick.It's fun to play with, As you design the shape you want, you can lock it with the tools included, then you can hang it on a wall, or place it on a table or mantle to display. You can sync it to sounds or music, and it will react based on the sounds. It's powered by USB, so you can plug it into a phone charger, a power bank, a laptop, whatever is convenient. You can even setup a timer schedule to turn on and off automatically.The 8 panels you receive in this package is enough for a small set up. If you get serious, you can buy additional panels and create a larger wall hanging. It's fun, colorful, something different for a modern home decor. I look forward to creating a small wall hanging and enjoying it in my office.

I was pretty stoked to get my hands on these. I've been having fun assembling different patterns and tweaking the colors. My cat even likes watching it - not sure what he's seeing but he digs it!The pieces are a bit smaller than I anticipated, and kinda tedious to take apart and secure again. I think this is best if you find a design and just leave it be. Repeated disassembly might break some of the connectors.I think this is a good intro to those who haven't had this kind of light before. You could graduate to something larger if you enjoy them, and I'm sure they could be connected to other parts due to the USB compatibility.

The panels are very light weight. Easy to use and change design. Just connect, download the app and start to enjoy. Everything works well, lights are very bright. This took seconds to setup. So many options in the app. I can see more ordering more panels to connect.

This is a nice set of LED hexes. They coordinate easily and can be arranged in several different ways. They are exaggerated in size in some of the pictures that advertise them. They are each around the size of your palm and all 8 cover 1 to 2 square feet of wall. A Bluetooth app connects and directs them and the animations are very smooth. The app provides dozens of effects and allows you to record your own. These are sound reactive (SR) at a lower price than nearly all other SR hexes I saw. It is implemented here by using your phone's microphone to 'listen' and push out the colors. Neat hack; saves cost on adding a microphone circuit. There is a USB cord you'll want to be hiding. 8 foam rings that match the footprint of the hexs are included and don't have an obvious use. Alas, when it's time for final assembly you turn hexs face down. Since they're pointy on the front you'll immediately create, in technical terms a 'hot mess'. Save. The Rings. My wife has seen a lot of LED effects, and she was impressed.This is a low price to get into HEX's. This a very good looking effect for minimum investment. Just be aware, if you have 8 hexs, you're going to want 16.

I tried to follow the directions but the hexagons never connected. there were three different groups that were doing their own thing. Once you build the shape you want you have to find a way to mount the whole thing while they are precariously connected to one another. I only have two small hands so pieces of my shape fell on the ground when I was trying to mount it and one hexagon never turned back on. Then, when I reconnected it to the big shape the whole thing went dark. Maybe if I had any idea about how circuits work, I would replace what needs to be replaced. But now that my drywall is torn off (yes, you'll want a permanent placement- you can not restock these) I'm done. I don't want to learn how to be an electrician. I just want a pretty light show. I keep buying these badly built light fixtures and keep regretting it. One day I'll learn to just leave them alone. Oh, and you have to download a very complicated app to use all the functions. The things this thing claims to be able to do are impressive, but I can't even get all the hexagons on at the same time. The few moments most of them were lighting up were truly dazzling. If you're feeling confident with your placement, instal, and electrical problem solving skills- have at it! The rest of us should just sit down and buy a lava lamp.
