Expensive but awesome
Great crimper, works awesome, well built

Good industrial quality.
Ratcheting feature is extremely beneficial to keeping lugs properly aligned when working with large cables, especially in tight spaces. FTZ makes quality lugs that match up properly with the crimp dies.

Highly recommend the FTZ power lugs as well
In the process of rewiring my boat and used the FTZ crimper for making all new 2/0 battery cables. The rotating dies on the crimper make it fool proof and no parts to lose. The long handles give enough leverage for a tight crimp and the clean tight fit on the dies prevents over crimping or sharp edges on the lug. Highly recommend the FTZ power lugs as well, they are far superior to the normal flared starter lugs.

Good value compared to other similar crimpers on the market

Tool works great, be sure to calibrate first before using.
Tool worked as advertised, solid, rugged tool. Rewired battery compartment and all primary wiring on 37' sailboat, made over 30 lug crimps. Probably saved thousands with this tool. FTZ lugs are also recommended, but not necessary. 1/10 the price of Anchor brand lugs. This tool is also recommended by Marinehowto.com website for marine repairs.

Do Not Mess Around. Use this crimper and get quality secure crimps each and every time.

Junk
Made less than six 4/0 crimps and things began to go sideways. Something seemed to have stretched, they will not calibrate to spec anymore and do not fully crimp the lugs. I am a stickler for details, read all the instructions several times and calibrated/set as stated. Waste of money. I will now spend $300 to complete the last three crimps. What a disappointment. Definitely a very low quality tool; well actually I'd call it a contraption. There is not anything heavy duty about this thing.

Functional as designed
Crimper was east to calibrate and use with proper fittings. Crimped with moderate effort for a 2/0 wire. Would recommend
