Nice enough, NOT machine washable
Nice, neat (toilet/pedestal mat is of the shorter/more compact design), fairly low pile, cotton mats. Contradictory washing instructions -description here says machine washable, front of pack/label says "washable" -with icon of washing machine, BUT care label says hand wash.Came slightly grubby (just as if gathering a bit of dirt or dust along folds of mats before packaging) so would normally have preferred to wash first but didn't bother, given the washing instructions. Seem fine -quite neat-looking, and definitely seem non-stick, which was important to me. Back of each mat is slightly tacky to achieve this -not sure how well that will persist after washing, but it's definitely held securely in position for now.

It's sticky and seems that you have wiped something sweet with it even after a couple of washes!
