Quality Hoops
Love the rimshots this produces on a 3mm steel shell snare drum, requires a very slightly different playing angle to catch it just right, soon got used to that. Changes the tone of the drum compared to the original triple flange hoops, wouldn't say it was a better sound, just different. Using the same set up again tonight for a pub gig. Very enjoyable to play on.

If you actually like standard triple-flanged hoops as I do
Beware the top of this hoop as a "lip" to it, which makes rimshots (when you hit the rim and the drum at the same time) too loud for my taste. If you're looking for an alternative to a die cast hoop, this is it. If you actually like standard triple-flanged hoops as I do, this isn't the right hoop for you.
