After keeping at room temperature, It may be eaten as spread. Its consistency is more like a homemade peanut or almond butter. It is also good for cooking since it is 100% natural date.

Q: how do i soften this unopened paste that has been in refrigerator?

You can put the unopened package in a bowl of hot water, until it softens, or leave it at room temperature until it does so.

Q: Can the seller respond to the reviewer who said there were white egg-like balls in the paste, is it really insect eggs or is it something else?

I never had this issue with my package. However, the inside of dates is white, so perhaps flecks of that appeared in the paste.
