Very happy with this purchase

The screws and bit are the reason for the 3 star rating. The bit twisted off on the second screw. So I purchased a new one. Now armed with a new bit I then had the screw head strip out. Very frustrating as I was using an inch pound torque wrench and have mounted hundreds of bases in the past.

This base is well made. Installed easily as instructed and I like it very much. My only complaint, and I think an important one, is the length of the rail. Had it been approximately 1 mm shorter in length I would have been able to keep my stock front sight in place. Even after loosening the front sight and repositioning it the rail still doesn't fit. My only choice is to go without the front sight or modify the rail. Very dissaoointing that I have to do that. Manufacturer should have taken that into account. If not for that I would have given 5-stars.

The screws are to long for a g2 installation - so plan on washers or shims

Works pertectly. Allowed scope to be mounted for perfect eye relief. I put medium rings and a Nikon 3-9x40 prostaff. Probably could've used low rings. I did have to remove rear sight on my Encore muzzleloader.

EGW T/C Encore Picatinny Rail Scope Mount.Worked like a charm and allowed me to mount a scope with a short tube on the Encore. No problems at all, and I'm really happy with it. I've had it for a while and torqued to spec, used a little lock tite and it's been rock solid.
