Adding praise, six months in -working great. Takes it 1.5 mi to school and back every day and comes home with half a battery still. Great purchase if you want to be able to cruise around town but don’t want your kid going 25mph! Replacement controller when they lost it was $30 and also works great.Only had it 3 days but we’ve been all over town. Trucks were a little tight - easy to loosen. Wheels are hard so you feel all the bumps, but it goes over even the big ones better than I was expecting. My 12yo has probably logged 10 miles already. Hasn’t run out of juice in the 3 to 5-mile jaunts. Not a ton of power up hill, doesn’t go crazy fast (that’s a bonus if you ask me as a mom) still loads of fun. I got the 2 year warranty, so figure we’re covered.

First of all, the board is amazing. Detail is nice, the thing has great acceleration, it’s smooth, it has a very good battery charge, and it has selectable modes for speed. I really liked the thing until something happened. I let the board sit for 2 weeks, I charge it, and power it up to ride it, and right when I turn on the remote and tap the throttle the board flies off the driveway, and into a neighboring house’s mailbox. I even tried to use the break but it wouldn’t listen to commands. Same thing happened again when I was riding it and it didn’t obey to the breaks. Something’s wrong with it. I almost got hit by 2 cars and the skateboard slammed into 3 objects over the course of 1 day. I’m going to let it sit for a while. Hopefully then the thing will return back to normal and not spin out of control

Additional update (3/11/22): Hiboy recently reached back out to me again. This time offering to send me a new board (@ no cost to me). I took them up on that offer and it just arrived. It's snowy here, so I have not yet ridden the board, but the original one was really fun for me and my kids - Good speed. Handled hills well. Great to learn on. I'm looking forward to riding this one too. Happy that Hiboy has made a new commitment to customer satisfaction and standing by their product.Update: Hiboy customer service responded quickly after I posted this review. Instead of providing a new board, they provide a new set of wheels. I think a lot of people would be happy with this. I personally am busy, so I have not yet (6 months later) taken the time to sit down and figure out how to remove the old ones and replace them with the new ones... I'm confident that if I did that, it would solve the problem. So basically, Hiboy did something here. Maybe 2022 is the year I replace it and get to ride the board again.... ugh.When I got this, I initially really liked it. It was higher than my other electric skateboard, which gives a fun ride.However, within less than a handful of rides, one of the wheels started making a grating noise, and the board could no longer go at full speed.All of the riding was done on paved surface, so this was not a case of any misuse of the product.I attempted to reach out to Amazon for a resolution - but was told that because it had passed the return window, Amazon could not help and I had to reach out to the manufacturer for assistance with their return policy. I did this - several weeks later, I have still not heard a thing back from them. I've emailed them again, but still nothing.While this is not an expensive board in comparison to some other electric skateboards, it is a VERY expensive purchase to only work for 4-5 rides before breaking and becoming useless.DO NOT BUY!!!!

This was my first electric board. The best thing about this board is the weight. The weight to power to price ratio is what makes this stand out. I've had this about 3 months. Mostly city street riding. I weighed about 205lbs when I bought it and am currently around 185lbs. No problems hauling me around at 205. Speed and range specs are accurate. The better your traditional skateboard mechanics are (kicking, stopping, cornering), the more you can get out of this.I just ordered a Meepo mini 2 because I wanted something with more torque and faster acceleration but if you are good at kicking you can get a ton out of the S11.

Update (June 12, 2023):Unfortunately, my son is still unable to fix this skateboard even with the new motherboard that was sent. I contacted the seller and was told that Hiboy doesn't produce old motherboards any longer and suggested that I purchase a new motor for $79 (with a 30% discount) to go with the new motherboard. He reminded me that although the skateboard is only eight months old, it has exceeded the warranty period. I declined the offer and had already received a refund from Amazon although it was beyond the 30-day period. I had to explain every detail to Amazon to get the refund and felt that I was treated unfairly by Hiboy for an expensive item. I do NOT recommend this brand. This will be my third and last purchase from Hiboy (one electric scooter and two skateboards). I returned all three. I guess I'm a slow learner, but never again.(June 2, 2023):I bought this skateboard for my son, who's in college, eight months ago. Sadly, it broke down and does not work at all now. I contacted the seller and he tried to troubleshoot by sending two replacement parts (one replacement looked used) and a new remote controller with A LOT of back and forth with email. I ended up buying a brand new skateboard (the exact same one from the same seller) and it broke after only a month. A month!! Thankfully, I was within the one month window of returning this piece of junk and received a full refund. This skateboard isn't worth what Hiboy is asking. Please avoid and keep researching. If you decide to buy it, definitely get as much use within the first month to see if it will last.

Mine had a problem on one wheel so it was a making a terrible noise. I reached out to Hiboy to see if they could fix the problem and finally they said they no longer make the part that I needed and were no help. The ones through here only gave me 15 percent off and now it’s unavailable.

This board sucks don’t waste your money. The deck was completely warped so it does not ride good at all. Very disappointed
