This works great, cordless so its very portable low noise looks great like all Dewalt products very comfortable handle and adjustable the speed can go so slow you can almost count the rpm's if you burn paint with this you are trying to paint comes out perfect and a glass smooth finish. gets rid of fine scratches for a mirror like finish. I am extremely happy with the purchase of this and recommend it to any serious car detail-er or paint finisher speed adjustability is easy and makes working fast and trouble free. I could go on and on, I have been wanting one of these for a very long time and finally got one it will make my car look better not to mention the money making opportunities it could also bring If you are at all thinking about getting one get the Dewalt it's top of the line, I have a collecetion of Dewalt cordless tool so yes I am bias but it is because they are the best.

I bought this DEWALT cordless polisher to buff and restore the gelcoat on our boat and it’s been incredible. The cordless design makes a big difference when working around the hull, especially in areas where there’s no easy access to power. It has more than enough power to cut through oxidation, and the variable speed gives great control whether you’re compounding or doing a final polish. The 7-inch pad covers a lot of surface quickly, which is a huge plus when working on a boat. With a 5Ah battery I can usually get through an average-size boat without needing to recharge. It’s comfortable to hold, well-balanced, and doesn’t wear you out after long sessions. If you maintain your own boat or do marine detailing, this is an excellent tool. No cords, no hassle, just professional results wherever you need them.

I just received the item, and there is no indication in bold or in the item listing that it comes without a battery. Upon further inspection, I noticed a small note in the description below the photo, title, and subtitle stating "W/O Battery," which I find misleading.
