Elizabeth Ashley is a fun author. It's like sitting down and having a conversation with her. She covers the scientific aspects in an easy to understand way and she brings in the intuitive and energetic aspects of the oil in a very personal way. I am an aromatherapist and I learned much for this book. Only negative is that she needs to have her editors check for typos a bit more.

This is an informative book about helichrysum. Of course, I had to buy some and try out some blends for myself. I am astounded on how well it works on inflammation. I would not have known about this useful, powerful oil without this book. Thank you for writing it!

I love all of Elizabeths essential oil books. I have several. They give you a lot of history and detail that other aromatherapy books don't.

As a certified clinical aromatherapist, I have read not a few aromatherapy books and essential oil monographs. However, I must say I am highly impressed by this one. Not only was it immaculately researched but a downright entertaining read as well, which is rare for an essential oil monograph, most of which are usually rather dry and technical. Ms. Ashley has a way of bringing the subject to life. She references quite a number of scientific papers as well as other experts in the field of aromatherapy, and I highly appreciate that she attributes other people's work and information, rather than passing it off as her own, which seems to be the norm these days.This book does take a deep dive into the metaphysical aspect of Helichrysum, specifically medical astrology, which may or may not be your cup of tea. I had planned on skipping the chapter and moving on because the other information was so good, but for reasons I still can't explain I couldn't put it down.Overall, a very valuable contribution to understanding this important distillation that seemed to burst onto the aromatherapy scene with little fanfare, and is now considered a really "essential" oil for practitioners of aromatherapy.

This was an informative book but the editing or lack thereof made this a very difficult and disappointing reading experience.

If you haven't gotten your copy of this book yet, I highly recommend you do. Fascinating read, as always!
