Brilliantly simple
Love these - perfect poached eggs every time - no egg white drifting off around the pan, no swirling the water before cracking your egg into it - get the water bubbling, crack your egg into the poachie, pop it in the water, leave for four to five minutes depending on preference for firmness - brilliant idea and so simple

If you love poached eggs
If you love poached eggs but can never make them these are definitely worth a go apart from the obvious difficulty of cracking an egg into a bag there a very quick and simple way to get what you like, got this packet for my elderly mum to try and she after the fiddly part loved the end result and has instructed me to get more for her. With being a plastic bag I was a little concerned that they might add to the flavour and not in a good way but these are obviously very good quality food grade plastic as there's no hint of a bad taste. Definitely one for the poached egg lovers out there

Not sure about these.......
I bought these on the recommendation of someone on a cookery forum, and I am really not sure about them.On the positive side, they make neat poached eggs, but the whole process seems a bit fiddly and wasteful (the bags are disposable and can only be used once). You have to prop the bag up in a cup with the opening, well open, break the egg into the bag and immediately (and I mean immediately) drop the bag carefully into boiling water. If you dont do it immediately, the egg white soaks through the bag and makes a mess. Once cooked, you shake/gently squeeze or massage the egg out of the bag. The resulting poached egg might be perfectly cooked, but just doesnt look right - it is sort of flattened, a bit like a fried egg though not as thin. For me a perfect poached egg should be a plump little bauble of joy, not something that looks like a small flattened breast implant.Update: I have given up using these bags for poaching eggs, as I just don't like the look of the results. I have however found a new use for them - they are excellent for making a bouquet garnei For those non-chefs out there, this is a bundle of herbs tied up with string that you drop into a saucepan while cooking various dishes. The idea being that as they are tied together, they are easy to find and remove later. Well these little bags make a simple alternative - just put the herbs of your choice into the bag, fold the top over and secure with a toothpick or cocktail stick - works brilliantly.

Rubbish!
These don’t work. Leak at bottom. Don’t seal at top when put in water. Total waste of money. Glad I only bought small pack to try them. Won’t be buying again.
