Furologee 61” Desk with 4 Drawers and Outlets/Brown

Very durable metal frame. The wood is probably particle board but has some weight and does t look like you can peel it apart like some types. Has a great look to it as well. Is a bit narrow for most monitors as the stands are too wide. If your monitor has a narrow base/stand like Apple monitors or are just using a laptop without extra monitors, this will be perfect. My only real dislike is the drawers. They are just fabric with a wood base. I wouldn’t trust them to hold much as I would be concerned they would fall apart. Lightweight things, fine, anything heavy like a hardback book or more… wouldn’t use the drawers at all.

I have ordered and tested a few products sold by Furologee that have not dissapointed me. And this is no exception. For just a little over $100 you get an easy to assemble desk with working dimensions of 19" x 61" and a height of 35.1". I really think it's an awesome deal in spite of being a so called "cheap" built. I say that because there is a misconception about the quality of products built like this. It's basically a thin metal framing (with an apparent long lasting finish), engineered wood tops (which are more stable than wood) and fabric drawers that "would not last long"? Back in my younger years I would have preferred this type of desk (light for easy carrying around and compact but with enough working surface and drawers), even if ot would last 1 or 2 years. Back then I had to settle with one totally built of particle board that would absorb humidity and fall apart! And they were heavy! I love building these as a hobby. Just make sure that when assemblying the tops you ate using the correct screw (I have seen pictures of some being assembled using the longer screw and breaking the top surface. If you can score one of this at a discount and with additional discount coupons as I saw it available today, you get a much better deal!

Got it together in about two hours solo, with only one minor hiccup in trying to put the top board on. Has been holding together well and the metal parts don't have too much grit to them which is always a plus. My only complaint is that there's no designated keyboard area that slides in when not in use like most desks, but I'll adjust. It also came with plenty of spare screws which is always a plus.

We finally got to assemble this, and we're really pleased! It went together easily, and the instructions were very clear. That in itself is a big plus!, LOL!! The drawers are made of heavy felt-canvas type cloth, I'm not sure how to describe it but that's as close as I can get. Regardless, they are surprisingly sturdy, and best of all - they are light. That makes moving this around a lot easier. There's plenty of room for our all in one desktop, keyboard, mouse, and printer, with plenty of surface left for my papers and books. And it's actually attractive. For the price, I am very pleased.
