As an avid energy drink consumer I was excited to try this new energy shot on the market. I first noticed it next to 5hr in Circle K but then kept seeing it pop up on Amazon too. Had to give it a try and bought the 2 flavor 8 pack sampler. Both flavors were really good and wayyyy better than any 5hr shot I have tasted! The Strawberry Acai specifically was my favorite with a nice tart strawberry flavor to it. I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new energy shot option!

Taste was not bad (better when cold” but you could tell it was a medication taste and very acidic. I drank 1 every am w my vitamins and medication. Then ate and went out to shop to work on trucks and farm. No jidders, but if I sat down I still could dose off after lunch and by 8pm it was hard to sleep. “IF” I get another they will be in the fridge for weekend as a mental treat!! Good luck. I can’t find them anywhere in central area between Richmond Va and Fredericksburg.

Absolute love it flavor is great love the product

I’m glad to see Matador Energy Shots being sold on Amazon now because they were a little hard to find. I only know of one convenience store brand that carried them before. I find they taste better than any of their competition and give me a better ooomph! Yet leave me feeling better.

I should start by saying that I’m not someone who uses energy shots regularly. From what I have heard about some of the popular energy shots, taste is a major detractor. Suffice it to say that these energy shots don’t change that in the slightest.A number of reviewers have already provided very detailed information on ingredients. instead, I will focus on my experience with the product. First of all this stuff is hard to swallow, literally! Much like mini cough medicines the labels of strawberry and blue raspberry are just labels, and not an indicator of the flavor that you will experience. If you’ve ever had cherry cough syrup as a kid then you have an idea of what you’re gonna expect when you try one of these. I recommend taking the shot in one gulp just to get it down. The aftertaste will definitely wake you up. If nothing else that is one way in which these energy shots definitely work to keep you alert. I spent the next 15 to 20 minutes, looking for ways to get the aftertaste out of my mouth.as far as the energy level after drinking one of these. Un scientifically, I can say that I do feel more energetic, and that it did alleviate some of the drowsiness I was feeling in the morning. But that also could be attributed to the horrible taste which was similar to a slap in the face.The duration of my alertness seems to be sustained for a significant amount of time. But what I want to drink these again? I’m honestly, I probably rather just take a nap and then wake up from that and hopefully feel refreshed. For someone else looking to get a bit of energy boost to finish a project or to focus, a test this may come in handy.At $28 for a pack of 8 shots, it is a hard sell for me.

These are a nice kick of caffeine when you need one. For me this is after midday or on my way home from work, wanting to have more energy for when I arrive home. They are tart (as are most energy shots I have tried) but these (blue raspberry) are better tasting than others I have tried. The 185mg of caffeine is on the high end of what I can comfortably ingest all at once, but this one has yet to give me the jitters. Not bad.

These shots are great. Good amount of energy that kicks in within 30 minutes. I don't get jittery or jumpy, just a solid energy boost. The taste is really good too. I've only had the Strawberry Acai, but I'm ordering the Blue Raspberry next!

I have been taking 5 Hour Energy for over a decade and decided to try this because I kept hearing it tasted really good. It was delivered today and I tried it side by side with my normal 5 Hour Energy and was blown away. It’s not even close. The focus and energy hits a little sharper and I didn’t have a big crash afterwards. Great job!
