Ann Cleeves TV Vera Stanhope Series Collection 7 Books Set (Telling Tales, Harbour Street, Silent Voices, Hidden Depths, The Glass Room, Crow Trap)

The books themselves are great really readable but the person who made them is clearly an idiot. I’m four books in and every book has fallen apart. I’m a big reader so I know this isn’t normal. Would never order off this seller again purely for that reason because if I like books I’ll re read them and the option to do that is now gone.

Brought these for mom for during the lockdown.Been an absolute life saver (and definitely sanity).Ann Cleaves is an excellent author with great stories and characters. Mom has been dripped.Watching the show on tv she already felt like she knew the characters.

Even better value than advertised as there were 8 books rather than the advertised 7! Great detective stories, thoughtful and not too gory. These books will appeal to those who watch the Vera TV series and they are the same, but different plot wise. They also reveal how good the TV series casting is.

I bought the books because I enjoyed the TV series. Vera's character in the book is a little different from the TV and the stories I've read so far don't feature her so prominently. However, the stories are interesting, intriguing, entertaining and captivating. I'm sure I'll be eager for more when I've finished the collection so I guess I'll be buying other Ann Cleeves novels.

I have read all the books and seen the TV shows..I have bought these as a gift to take to my sister in USA. $50 for this collection off Amazon US...Excellent books with good plots .She will enjoy them a lot
