We ordered one on a whim for a glow trail obstacle night and it was a huge hit! Held up great, has tons of color and modes and worked super well. Nice and light and easy to braid into the crupper D ring for ultra swishy ponies.

Charged it for 24 hours. Charging light glows. The actual lights do not turn on whether plugged in still or not.

Turn it on by pressing and holding the button. Cycle between modes with quick presses.I was interested in this light as a festival costume/camping accessory, and it is perfect for that. I have some experience with horses and I think this may be a good product for horse tails too. The velcro wrap is a little bit difficult to open up because of the four long strips of velcro. Once it's open and put around a tail, I imagine that it would be very secure because the velcro is strong. I suspect that you would use the hook at the top to prevent it from sliding down the tail. The padding and velcro section is about 6.5" long so I think it's a good length to have the light strings move with the horse's tail. There are four strings of lights and they are one meter long (that's 3 ft plus a few inches). The light strings feel heavy enough to hold up to the continuous movement and rough nature of equestrian activity.I like how this has many different lighting modes. You can choose between 3 different types of color cascades, multicolor up/down chasing, or 6 different solid colors (bluish almost-white, red-orange, green, blue, lavender-purple, and green-yellow) by pressing the button to cycle through modes. A USB-C charging port is hidden under a little rubber cover on the side of the control unit.It is my intention to use this as a component in music festival attire, and for that purpose I disassembled the electronics from the harness. The electronics consist of a flexible circuit board that simply connects all four light ropes together in parallel, and a control box with battery. The wires that connect the control box to the distribution board are very thin, so you'll want to secure or upgrade those wires if repurposing in this manner. This is not a concern if using the device as designed, because the harness and adhesive protects the wires. The control box has a full second backplate, meaning that it's very easy to mount it on fabric or any thin surface by using the backing plate on the obverse and running the four small screws through the fabric.

We do a lot of night riding and costume riding around town. There is a lot to love about this tail light. For starters it is a one light does all. It can match any mood or costume. I really love the colorful light show modes. The lights are bright and vivid. It is easy to change between the different modes too. It has Velcro that you use to attach it to the base of the tail. It works pretty well, but sometimes it does slip down. It has a ring that you can use to attach it to your saddle if you want peace of mind. It really looks great on. The lights are thicker than all the others I’ve tried. The rechargeable battery lasts a long time too. I haven’t had it die on my yet and we’ve been 5 hours. It also pairs very well with the black light up breast collars and foot lights. They match well and have similar light shows. It’s really neat to see your whole horse light up in sync with each other. I’m very pleased and putting them on my Christmas list for my horse friends. They will be excellent gifts!
