Both ends have a thin rubber seal. When opene the jar on one end, the rubber seal was adhered to the glass jar not the lid. No problem, maybe it is supposed to be like that, I thought. Then I flipped it over and same thing. I began to screw the plastic lid back and the rubber seal flipped upward and popped off. Oh so maybe it’s removable? Ok, yes removable. Terrible design flaw though. After washing and pouring the pickles in and trying to seal it back up the rubber seal did that lil flip trick and flung into the brine and brine leaked through after inverting it over the sink.After a little finagling, I was able to get the seals both secured into the lids and no leaking now.Not a bad product. Just be leery of the seal when filling and washing. 🙂

The packaging was excellent; so well padded and protected. I love these jars. We used them the same day we received them for our olives and will be buying more soon. Looking for a slightly smaller size maybe? Great product.
