The Poetic and Prose Eddas (Norse Literature)

Highly recommend

I bought this for my Heathen husband - I’m also an Odinist - who had never read either. He’s trying to learn all he can about the history of the gods and our religion. Although some of these two texts would have to be considered fiction, they’re a good place to start for a beginner.
