Anything but wine !
I wanted to try this kind of "beverage" on my own. To be honest, after one sip, I put it directly into the sink. I didn't like it at all. No interest in it, it's like drinking white alcohol, no taste, no pleasure. And being french I know what is "good" wine... So don't waste your money, forget this bottle !!

No resemblance to Sherry whatsoever. Draincleaner.

Oh dear me!
It is not - for me at least - a drinking sherry. Wife will use it in trifles or it goes down the loo. Awful stuff.

A classic of its kind
This is a top marks Manzanilla; well chilled and with a bone dry taste and a deliciously nutty flavour, it is unbeatable as an aperitif. It is also an a very reasonable price for such a quality product. I shall be re-ordering. As for the 'grandad' reviewer who mixed it with Bristol Cream (to make it drinkable) that is nothing short of sacrilege: there ought to be a law against such vandalism!

Bought for cooking, but tried as a drink - definiely not to my taste!
I purchased this as a No of recipes I cook require a small amount of dry sherry, so I didn't want to use anything too expensive. I'm sure it will be fine for that as it will just be one of the background flavours... However, I thought I'd try it as a drink as I have been known to like the odd sherry. This is definitely not to my taste. It smelt exactly as I'd expect, but was very harsh on the palate and no well-rounded flavour as I would have expected. If I want a drinking sherry, I'll pick something else.
