I have a lot of computer and charging cables that I've accumulated over the years/decades. Literally boxes of them. I'm still using some old equipment that needs them as well as brand new devices and computers. I've also been using Apple equipment since the Apple 2 and 2e days and the first Macintosh. I love this cable.First off, the quality is high end. Most cables are pretty cheaply made and kink up, twist into various odd shapes and need to be untwisted or straightened out before they break. And they just expand to fill up as much space as they can. Yes, I'm looking at my computer desk.First off, this is a heavy cord. Not thin wires in cheap plastic. Second, the ends are solid and longer than most cables ends. Second, it covers every type of computer connection I'm currently using. The only thing it doesn't do is connect to the old, wide Apple connectors. At this point, it isn't needed any more than an old serial or parallel bus connecter is needed. Yes, if you are into old computer and electronics systems, you can't use it. I'll accept that as a downside for one or two percent of the population these days who still do.The thing that impressed me the most when I opened the box was the little pry tool for removing the magnetic adapters from a device. That is something I never thought of needing. I tested it, and it worked fine. I also didn't have a problem pulling the magnetic tip loose from the iPad I tested it on.My title said there was only one thing that would make this cable better. Put the magnetic end on both ends. A double-ended magnetic cable that you can leave the connection in place on both ends. There is already a USB-C tip. A USB-A tip can be made with a magnetic end. With that, you have a breakaway cable at both ends so if you catch and pull on the cord, after a point it won't pull both ends with it. And with multiple tips, you can move the cable between various devices easier. That and an easy way to buy more tips to leave in more devices.This is not an inexpensive cable and it is very worth the price.

I'm generally skeptical of non OE cable sets as it's a 50/50 whether or not they are any good. In this case, I liked the ability to carry a single cable set that would work with my iPhone, MacBook, and my battery backup, all of which have separate connectors to charge. I have a universal charger with both USB A and C plug-ins, so this would prevent me from having to carry three different cables on my trips. When they advertise that the exchangeable tips were powerful magnets, they weren't joking. They are, and they stay on until you pry them off (it nicely comes with a tool that you can use to help you pop them off, too). The cable, itself, is wrapped nicely and appears much sturdier than cheap vinyl covered cables that bend too easily and work for a short time until they don't. I love the dual use plug end where you can use both USB-A (slower speeds but easy to find in hotels) and the USB-C (faster charging with the right equipment, too with the 'C' end on both sides!). For storage, there is a nice sturdy cable tie. the magnetic ends all stay nicely together on the magnetic end, too. The plug-in side has a nice swivel end, too, which can help in tight situations. Not inexpensive; however, seems worth it for the price being asked for those of us who need a multi-use charging cable. (I've attached a photo showing all three ends around the magnet side and also showing the swivel, along with the little tool included). Recommended.

The universal swivel is a great thing to have when using an iPad in bed. Often the cord gets bent or pulled in a bad direction which shortens the life, but this cable avoids that.If you yank on the cable the magnetic coupling will detach; this can be disconcerting if you are not expecting it but it is a good safety feature.The purple illumination is cute but is something I'd like to be able to turn off at night.The 6ft length is a bit short for my application; I'd like to see this in 8ft or more.

This is a fantastic and versatile charger. The magnetic connection which enables you to swap out charging tips as needed for your various electronics is such a clever concept. It's also fast charging, as advertised. The swivel at the charging point is super convenient if you've got your phone charging and want to use it while in bed or any location that causes you to hold your device at an angle. It prevents the need for the wire to bend, which frays it over time. The cord is thick and sturdy and a generous length. We can use it with my Android phone as well as my son's iPhone. Considering that this charger is capable of replacing several separate chargers, I think that it's more than worth the price!

I've been using it as a USB C to USB C cable to charge my phone with, and it works great. Much nicer to just have to reconnect the tip when I stretch it too far rather than put the entire plug back in the wall.
