Lightweight, Durable, and Effective Support
This carbon AFO foot drop brace is high quality and incredibly lightweight, making it comfortable for daily wear. The medical-grade carbon fiber provides excellent support for ankle stability without feeling bulky. While we didn’t need to trim the footplate, we would appreciate if it came in a slightly larger size for an even better fit. It works well with all types of sneakers, making it easy to use for a stroke patient in our family. Our physical therapist also approved it, which gives us even more confidence in its effectiveness. Overall, a well-made and supportive brace—highly recommend!

Very uncomfortable
I wear Hoka’s as my shoe of choice. When I put this brace in my shoe, my first thought was that it was going to ruin my shoe. The way that the brace pushed out on the side of my shoe immediately made not want to wear the brace. It was not comfortable. Secondly, the strap around the calf is huge. There does not need to be that much padding. There is no way to wear this underneath your pants.Description said it comes with a scissors to cut to size. There was no scissors in the box. Will definitely be returning.

Comfortable and great support
I have mixed feelings about this AFO. I wear a size 12W and I ordered an XL size, but it does not fit my shoe very well. I tried it on two different shoes, made by two different manufacturers. It slips back and forth under the insole. It appears to be too small for my shoe. Although it is a little too small for my shoe, it is relatively comfortable. There is enough hook and loop strapping to secure the top of the brace to my calf very tightly but also comfortably. My left foot has dropped foot. This AFO corrects that problem nicely. The AFO is made of carbon fiber. I think this is a bargain at the current price point.

Problematic fit
Very uncomfortable but sturdy. Move around in the shoe too freely.

Professional grade drop foot brace
This drop foot brace is top-notch. The other braces I have tried were made of plastic and not as stiff as this one, which is made of high-quality carbon fiber. It has just enough flexibility to be comfortable but still provides the needed support to the foot. I definitely recommend this brace.

Braceapedia Foot & Ankle Support Brace
My Mom has been using this for a few weeks now on and off and the final review is that it's just okay. The main issue is for the price point there are too many tweaks that still need to be worked out. The current $190 is high and I'm assuming it has to do with the carbon fiber which really is very hard and offers lots of support, but if it weren't for her feet being a size 6 this wouldn't do her much good. I say that because once it's trimmed down if your foot is that much larger than a six the arch points are going to line up for you. It does come with a scissors to trim the footplate which we did and the fit was good although it wasn't an easy process to trim. Then we tried it with a variety of her shoes and it really only fit well with one pair. Also the velcro to maintain the top part is useful, but it would be even more useful to have an additional piece of velcro closer to the bottom. She does use this, but sparingly over the last few weeks and also complains of the velcro not feeling great against her skin.
