We bought this as a gift for one of our kids. Microplane makes the absolute best kitchen graters. This cheese grater works fantastic & should last a long time. We've had ours for nearly 10 years now and it's still going strong, cutting like the day we bought it.

Best I could find but too nor far off from the others. I like the size of this one and the conical cutter. It is also a little more rigid than the top reviewed grater. Great for Parmigiano or Asiago. If you don't cook much then you probably dont know these are for hard cheese and not soft cheese. Wish someone would make a S/S version with these tolerances, that would be 5 stars!

this is the best grater i have ever purchased, goes through hard cheese like crazy .

It's all plastic, but everything fits together smoothly. It does a good job of getting all the cheese to the blade. The handle locks into place pretty solidly, so make sure you don't use the handle to get it loose. It is plastic.

easy to use and disassemble/clean. made piles and piles of delicious and light cheese shreds just like in the restaurant.
