In the past I have purchased ostomy belts through my medical insurance. They were always uncomfortable.This one is incredibly comfortable. I have a hernia next to my stoma that sticks out a few inches and I hate it. With this belt it pushes it down nicely so my stomach is even. The other ones I had would dig in my side over time. The way this one is made it doesn't do that. The velcro is strong but not so big that they start to itch. I can easily wear it for hours and forget that I have it on.Update: I got the same exact belt one size up and it made a big difference.Ordered a second that is a size up and it fit even better

Fits lit a charm!!! Only thing is that my husband is sensitive to the elastic band, so I cut a t-shirt band to go under the band for better comfort, it worked. Only reason why I took a star off.

When I first opened the "JJ CARE Ostomy Belt (1 PC) Large, Ostomy Support Belt", I was impressed with the quality but that was short-lived. It came well packaged in a plastic bag which was in a cardboard box. There is sufficient velcro to make it fit tight around your abdominal area.One of the major things to watch with Ostomy is the development of a parastomal hernia. It is a bulge or swelling that occurs when abdominal contents protrude through a weak spot in the abdominal wall near a stoma.The opening of the belt has an velcro attachment. The entire opening is made of elastic material. Generally in similar belts, the area around the opening is made of rigid plastic like material or the section of the belt is made of stiffer cloth like material. Intent is to provide a good support around the stoma area. When the belt is tightened around the abdominal area, the hole expands a lot and the stomach tissues bulge out of the hole. This is one of the issues.Wearing the belt makes my skin itchy because of the rough material. Also after wearing for several hours I had belt marks all over my stomach. This is another issue with the belt.I am surprised the product page shows models wearing the belt with no stoma!You can try this belt, if you have non-sensitive skin and do not need a great hernia support.

Excellent Ostomy Belt. I got this for my father because he had his bladder removed and has an Ostomy bag and stoma now. I think I'm stating that correctly. It arrived quickly. The belt is well made and good quality. It is easy to use. My father said the following about the Ostomy belt: it's comfortable, gives him more peace of mind, and it is lightweight and breathable. It's a great value at $23.89.

This Ostomy Bely from JJ CARE is well made and works well. It helps support the ostomy bag as well as provides support for your abdominal muscles. Having the velcro on the front makes it easy to take on or off without assistance. Once on it is comfortable and provides good support. Overall, I am very happy with it.

All of the joints, seams, and hems are snug with no gaps or flaws. The stitching is also snug with no hanging threads or flaws.It is fairly comfortable and it does reduce the amount of stress a full bag can place on the appliance adhesive. Anything that can reduce the stress of a potential leak, and give peace of mind is helpful: and this does exactly that.

This Ostomy belt arrived quickly and well packaged. This is a post operative Ostomy binder that can be used on either a right or left sided Ostomy. I got this for my MIL who is at the moment still hospitalized from her surgery. Her stoma has very little protruding, so she uses convex Ostomy bags. This binder has been a great addition to her post op tools, as it is easy to use and has had multiple different benefits. The first benefit is that it helps to stabilize her abdomen during the healing process, then there is the added bonus of helping support her back. Though this doesn’t seem to directly apply much pressure near the stoma to improve the function of her Ostomy bags, it does however add a little peace of mind that your bag has some support. It is pretty lightweight and breathable, but does offer light to medium support depending on how tight you want/need it. It is actually pretty comfortable and did not cause any irritation on sensitive skin. It is easy to get on with the velcro adhesive strip and the velcro notch for sliding your Ostomy bag in place. The only downside is that it is a HAND WASH ONLY product, making it kind of a pain to clean especially if you were to have any leakage or accidents on it. The price point for this is very affordable, more so than most other similar products I have seen. Overall, this is a solid mid grade quality lightweight support binder that has a few different benefits and could be a fantastic tool to use during Ostomy post op recovery or for those who need some overall support of your abdomen or back. Would recommend.
