Opting for this knee scooter provides significant improvement in mobility compared to crutches. The padded knee support enhances comfort and reduces strain on the upper body. Adjustable height settings ensure a customised fit, while the folding feature adds convenience for transport and storage. Enhanced stability is achieved with a wider front axle and reliable hand brakes. Additionally, the built-in basket is useful for carrying personal items, making it a practical mobility aid.

Compact ,strong ,well designed knee scooter
This mobility knee scooter from Pepe is well designed , strong and lightweight.Easy to set up for the user ,most importantly the height of the handlebars which have a 20cm range of adjustment .Solid wheels more widely spaced at the front for stability , narrower at the back for easy of turning and general movement .The knee support is height adjustable up to 4” and is curved and padded to give a comfortable stable positioning of the resting knee.Ordered for someone recovering from amputation below the knee and for ongoing use ,this scooter was much preferred to crutches when the environment suited .Unless you have wooden floors and clear open passages hallways etc ,it has limited use at home. There is some vibration when using on pavements or uneven roads but generally good for tarmac ,large outdoor areas anywhere suitable for wheeled access .Deemed less tiring than crutches ,good for stopping to rest and having hands more free, there is a small basket attached to the front and it has double brakes .Strong ,compact and less restricting than crutches or a wheelchair ,this knee scooter is a great alternative or addition to other mobility aids .It’s at the high end of what we would normally pay but I feel the quality and build of this scooter warrants it.

Sturdy and fit for purpose
I got this knee scooter for my uncle after his surgery, and it has been a game-changer for him! It was surprisingly quick and simple to put together. He loves how the padded knee rest offers comfort even during extended use, and the adjustable handlebars provide a customizable fit. Its sturdy frame and smooth-rolling wheels make navigating around the house easy, whether it’s on carpet or hardwood floors. The built-in basket is a bonus, letting him carry small essentials hands-free.I was initially concerned about spending on a lesser-known brand, but the quality and functionality have exceeded our expectations. The scooter is lightweight enough to fold and transport when needed, yet stable enough to support his movement without any wobble. If you’re hesitant about switching from crutches, this knee scooter is definitely a worthwhile investment for faster, more comfortable recovery.

Pepe - Knee Scooter
This product was sent to me for review, as part of Amazon Vine. The below is my own real-world experience of using it.In terms of build-quality, it appears to have been well-made - the metal construction is robust, and handles load-bearing very well (I tested this up to 100kg). Once assembled, the scooter has a sleek finish, with no rough or sharp edges to be found.I found the assembly process very straightforward - there are no tools required, all of the frame's components click together, and there are three large screw parts, to hold them all in place. An important thing to note is that the screws have removable rubber washers - these should be attached with the screws, otherwise the screws will slip straight through their respective holes in the metal, and risk collapsing the scooter.Unfortunately, the included instructions don't explain how to fold up the scooter when not needed, which is not ideal, because it doesn't seem obvious (at the time of writing, I haven't figured out how to do this). As for actually using it, I would say that it is smooth to manoeuvre, handles turns well, etc., but, I didn't feel that the comfort level was the best. The knee pad is too soft, and will squash down quite quickly. In my opinion, if you have a knee/close to the knee ailment, putting pressure on that area is the last thing you'd want (I genuinely did feel that my knee was bearing down on the pad, rather than having the weight taken off it). You may have to consider whether the Pepe is the right appliance for you, based on that. The brakes are also 'mushy', and you need to push both at once to stop the scooter - given that the wheels have no ‘grip’, this may be an issue when going downhill. In summary, it has the potential to be useful, say, if you have a foot injury, but I wouldn't recommend it for the leg. At its current price point, that is disappointing.

Comfortable and stable
Recovering from a fractured ankle, I needed a mobility aid that offered more independence than crutches. This knee scooter has been a revelation! It allows me to navigate both indoors and outdoors with ease. The padded knee support is comfortable, even for extended periods, and the adjustable height ensures a good fit.The basket is handy for carrying essentials, and the brakes provide a sense of security. It's a bit bulky to store, but the folding mechanism helps.
