I recently built a system using the Lian Li A3 and I’m genuinely impressed. As someone who wanted a true m-ATX build without sacrificing looks or quality, this case hit all the marks. The compact footprint is one of my favorite aspects—it fits perfectly on my desk without feeling cramped, yet still offers excellent airflow and clearance for components. Lian Li clearly optimized the space well: there’s room for a full-sized GPU, multiple storage drives, and tidy cable routing despite the smaller form factor. I was worried about space restrictions, but assembly was intuitive and comfortable even for a first-time builder. Build quality feels premium, with solid panels and clean finishes that elevate the overall look. The case stays cool under load, and the included fan support is great for keeping thermals in check. If you’re building a high-performance m-ATX rig and want something that looks great and performs as well as it looks, the A3 is a fantastic choice. I bought this case after seeing many people in the Micro Form Factor Reddit rave about it. I bought a Lian Li Lancool II several years ago and found it to be the best case I had ever built in and have been following Lian Li since. This case boasts a beautiful set of wood panels on front that still allow plenty of airflow to enter. The amount of mesh all around the case meant there was plenty of airflow to dissipate heat without cranking the fans which helps keep it nearly silent. The frame of the case even without the side fan mount is extremely sturdy with absolutely no flex. Building in it was very straightforward, directions show how to mount an ATX or SFF power supply and it was simple. Size was perfect for an ATX motherboard but there’s no room for cable management so it took me as a very seasoned PC builder quite a while to get my cable runs situated which isn’t something I’d recommend for someone who’s new to PC building, but is easy for anyone who’s worked in any SFF case and wants the expandability of a Micro-ATX motherboard. Overall for the price I think this is a case I can recommend to everyone, it’s got beautiful aesthetics, high performance cooling, and a build quality that feels like it should cost a lot more.

Got this case and was excited to put together my own small form factor build. It is super easy to work with. Just keep in mind it is a small case so it is definitely going to give you a bit of a brain puzzle for managing cables and getting everything to fit. If you are going for an ITX board with a AIO on top, I would recommend sticking with a slim variant as I ran into ram clearance issues; I opted to pit it on the side and add 3 exhaust fans on the top to help promote the original airflow design. I currently have a 360mm AIO a 9070 XT GPU an SFX PSU, and managed to still add 6 additional fans inside the case. I use this for my entertainment/VR build and it is doing perfectly fine without issues. Easy to work with, great build quality, love the air flow and room for fans and ease of access with the side panels popping off so easily, but staying locked into place securely at the same time. It also looks great in my living room with the black finish and wood accents. I'd also highly recommend looking at GamerNexus' review of the case to get an idea of how to get the cooling solution right if you are seriously considering this case; they helped a lot with my design choices. *Update* In case anyone is wondering, YES. It DOES fit an Astral 5090. I pulled my 9070 XT out of the case just to fit test and it 100% fits and has room for the 12VHPWR connector adapter.

Why I ordered this item: I recently built a new audio production computer and wanted it to be a little smaller than my normal builds. I ordered this case because I liked the wooden slats on the front. Likes: * The case looks awesome when loaded with lighting and PC components. The wood adds a very nice touch. * Fan options are super customizable. I have it loaded with eight case fans, which has gone a long way to keeping my build cool. The fan noise level can get loud, but that's more to my choice in fans than this case. * The smaller footprint is awesome. I appreciate that this does not take up a ton of room on my desk. * There are a lot of great internal features. I like how the PS is mounted toward the front. No likes: * The cable management options are awful. I didn't realize it was this bad when I ordered it, or I might not have chosen this case. I was able to make it work and it still looks great, but it took a lot more effort than it should have. Would I pay full price for this product: Yes, even with the poor cable management system I would order this again. I really like this case. Final thoughts: This got the aesthetic I wanted along with the cooling options I needed for under $100. That's a win to me, even if cable management is bad.

So far this case is flipping awesome! I had my doubts about trying to stuff an Asus 5080 Astral in it but was able to do so. The gpu temp is always around 57-62c when running Ghost of Tsushima on ultra settings. Granted, no fans fit underneath the gpu but everything stays nice and cool even while gaming for 3-4 hours! I have my fans on so you can hear the fans but it’s not overly noisy. It’s a very robust case and seems Very sturdy. The case was easy to build except trying to stuff my 5080 Astral in it lol This case was definitely worth it and fit the look I was going for. Definitely great value for the money! It delivers excellent build quality, a clean aesthetic, and decent cooling, but there are a few things to consider before making your purchase. Pros: Build Quality: The Lian Li A3 has a premium feel with its aluminum construction. It’s solid and lightweight, making it easy to handle and position on your desk. Design: The minimalist design is sleek and clean. The front panel is simple, with a nice look that fits well in any setup. The side panel is a mix of mesh and aluminum, providing a nice balance of airflow and durability. Cooling: While it doesn't have a dedicated front mesh panel, the case still has adequate airflow, especially when combined with good quality fans. The mesh-aluminum side panel does a decent job of letting air flow in while maintaining the case’s clean design. Compact Size: The A3 is a compact case, perfect for users who are working with limited space but still want to fit in full-size components like a standard GPU. Cons: Limited Cable Management: The cable management space behind the motherboard tray is quite tight, which made organizing cables a bit tricky. It’s doable, but not as easy as some other cases that offer more space and options for cable routing. Overall: The Lian Li A3 is a solid choice for anyone looking for a high-quality, minimalist case. While the limited cable management space and the lack of a tempered glass side panel might be drawbacks for some, it’s still a great option for users who prioritize design and compactness over flashy features. If you're okay with a bit of effort in cable management, this case is a great value.

The main gimmick of this case is the ability to mount psu at different heights depending on your needs, if you want watercooling you'll need to place it lower for more room at top, want a long gpu place it higher to increase clearance upto over 400mm, want both you'll need a sfx psu which is easier to cable manage anyway, want a thick gpu, upto 4 slots but anything thicker than 2 you won't be able to have bottom fans or drives Pros. Horrible cable management options Screws come mixed in bag Limited compatibility(may not match the maximum listed dimensions) Parts used in my build GPU: 7900gre hellhound PSU: Toughpower gf3 1000w CPU: ryzen 7 7800x3d Motherboard: mag b650m mortar wifi Cpu cooler: deepcool assasin IV(may be unavailable due to recent ban, I bought it a while before I learned of the Russia issue) Fans: artic 120mm 5 pack, I could only fit 3 with my gpu blocking the bottom 2 Would definetly reccomend to experienced builders or anyone willing to do the research on each components compatibility(or want to take the gamble) Edit: it's also important to mention that come cpu coolers like mine will prevent you from installing the side fan bar, whcih means even tho there is room between my cpu cooler and psu for a fan I can't put one there since the part the fan attaches to is blocked, because of that I could only fit 3 fans, 2 on the top and 1 in back, all exhaust unfortunately whcih means it's a negative pressure system, air can get in through the sides but this will lead to some dust build up

For too long I kept the old tiny (and ugly as sin) case my PC came with. I stare at it every day. Life is too short for a cramped, ugly PC case, so I got this case. It’s extremely adaptable and user friendly to work in. (I had to move power supply to the side due to the length of cables with my SFX power supply.) Bonus: it looks really nice! The mesh cooling works insanely well. Currently cooling 175 watt GPU + 65 watt CPU (continuous load all night) with a SINGLE 90mm rear exhaust fan (!!!!). [I also had to flip the Noctua Ghost CPU cooler 180 for fit reasons, and I didn’t have extra thermal paste-so I just used the old stuff—NOT ADVISED; just FYI to add context to how well the case is working.]
