I bought this blow torch as a gift for my brother in law. All of the reviews are spot on, this is an excellent product! The details in how this is made are really good, the design when it's pulled out of the box is stunning. It grips well and feels excellent in the hands, well-built and durable, not flimsy feeling or overly heavy in construction like some other blowtorches. Spicy Dew have clearly thought about the ergonomics of the product, the weight of it and everything makes it really easy to use. I"m really glad it comes with the child lock too - I have a three year old and a one year old and the last thing I would want them to do is grab this blowtorch and go and role-play their own version of Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen nightmare!!! My brother in law is an exceptional food enthusiast, the kind of person who you'd love to see on something like Masterchef. He has a much bigger blow torch at home that is very heavy duty and overkill for most applications. I mention this because this blowtorch has his approval through and through - it's the perfect size and design, a perfect match for his culinary skills. it does exactly what you need it to do with finesse. For someone who is very fussy about their kitchen tools, this had a resounding thumbs up. It's easy and simple to fill. I really wanted to post some products of the food he has made, but I must be too greedy because I always end up eating everything and forgetting to take the "before" photos! LOL It doesn't matter if it's creme brulee, lighting a BBQ, toasting marshmellows, or a quick garnish to give your savoury or sweet dishes a delicious crisp in the first bite, this blow torch does it all with ease! If you love food then you deserve to make your meals with only the very best tools. This cooking torch gives you precision, control and confidence in the kitchen - the fully adjustable flame intensity gives you the power to unlock your potential as a chef, using as much or as little as you need to get the results you want. This torch is perfect for what we are using it for, we create woodworking and resin projects and it’s vital that there are no air bubbles in the resin. This torch allows us to quickly ignite the torch to blip away the surface bubbles giving us a perfect finish, not only that but it’s great for wood burning effects in localised areas on smaller projects. It’s also a generally great torch for food, barbecue and camping. It’s compact but not tiny meaning it feels confident in the hand. With the design being convenient for one handed operation, it means it’s useable in tighter areas too. Very easy to fill and has a sight glass for when it’s running low. I would highly, highly recommend this torch to crafters, chefs and all manner of different taskers. 100% worth every penny and at this price it’s a steal. Do not delay, buy one today.

Just as described . Easy to use . Safety mode. Value for money . Performs better than expected as not the most expensive . Stable on work surface . Recommend for beginners.

The important annoyance with this is that not all butane canisters will refill this item and the UK doesn't have filtered butane like in other places, you do not get a nozzle for other tins and it cannot fit the butane refills with a short end. This was annoying as I had to run around trying to find a place to sell butane refills with a nozzle which meant I ended up with two tins of butane. There should be a warning in the description about the nozzle sizes and refill types that can be used. As this only seems to take lighter refills, and given that lighter refills are filtered very well more often than not I can imagine this will only last a few years with build up clogging up the works. The torch itself is pretty decent quality but as this is my first kitchen blow torch I am unable to compare to any other models. The plastic valve that adjusts high to low pressure is a little cheap feeling though, and the locking mechanism doesn't always engage straight away which can be mildly irritating, it can lock up for a second before disengaging too, leaving the safety feature as functional but not 100% perfect. If you are getting this to make tensor rings the cheap way, well you may be disappointed, it gets hot enough to melt copper but wont seem to melt copper to copper very well. Maybe I just need more practice at that I don't know but it looks like I will need to get solder if I want to melt one to the other. In any case I do not regret the purchase.

It looked a very good blow-torch however, I could never fill the gas cannister and the flame was so short lived to be of no use.

Ich habe dieses Produkt gekauft, da ich einen großen, sicheren Brenner für den Alltag benötigte. Im Lieferumfang befindet sich neben dem Brenne noch eine Bedienungsanleitung (nur auf Englisch). Die Verpackung sieht toll aus und ist mit vielen Details versehen. Der Brenner wird ohne Gas geliefert. Deshalb muss man vor der ersten Benutzung das Gas auffüllen. Das geht sehr einfach und ohne Probleme. Wenn man den Brenner in die Hand nimmt merkt man sofort, dass es sich hier um ein hochwertiges Produkt handelt. Denn das Mittelteil sowie das Vorderteil des Brenners bestehen aus robustem Stahl. Dadurch kann selbst im Falle einer Explosion kaum etwas passieren. Die Sicherung (Drücker kann nur betätigt werden, wenn der kleine grüne Knopf eingedückt ist) funktioniert super und ist auch nicht umständlich. Das Drücken ist ebenfalls nicht schwer und super mit Zeigefinger möglich. Die Gasregulierung dosiert das Gas richtig und kann sehr fein eingestellt werden. Ich finde es auch sehr toll, dass die Gaskammer so groß ist und deshalb sehr lang hält. Durch die Gasanzeige kann auch direkt gesehen werden, wann das Gas leer ist. Der Stand des Brenners ist ebenfalls gut und nicht wackelig. Und da er nur 17€ kostet ist er auch super als Geschenk geegnet. Fazit: Für 17€ bekommt man hier einen super Brenner. Er ist sehr hochwertig, sicher und liegt super in der Hand. Ich benutze ihn sehr gerne und bin froh, dass ich mich dafür entschieden habe. Kann ich super weiterempfehlen.

I use it for my flow art painting and creme brûlée. My husband grabbed it to heat up something in the garage to get it working right. All purpose item! We are thrilled with it.

Very impressed with how solid the build of this is. Easy to use and trouble free. Nice addition to our kitchen arsenal.

I really like this torch! I made s’mores tarts the other day and used it to toast the marshmallows. It was really easy to fill with the butane, and really easy to use. I like being able to adjust the flame. My only complaint (and I use that word very lightly) is that I couldn’t quite figure out a kids safety lock? Maybe I wasn’t using it right- but when I slid it either direction I was still able to light it. Though it worked perfectly for locking the flame on while I was using it so I didn’t have to keep holding the button.

Very good torch very durable I've dropped mine more than a dozen times from 4 foot and it's still going strong even the bottom foot is very strong. which I do not recommend using for it purpose. I've had mine for about 2 years
