Forget about Ola... This is it!
Coming from Holland, I was sold right away on the Dutch design of the 'oma fiets.'Sitting high & dry is great. With my 6 feet height I look over almost all the trucks, scooters, and cars. I've used the bike for a week now in Bangalore and am very happy. Bought the E1 Max for longer range but can't figure it out really how much it gets in real life. But enough for sure. I also bought a rear-rack through the friendly customer service of Tilt which was shipped to BLR and installed by a local guy. Found a nice wicker basket to zip-tie to it.Rarely do we have to go to a higher pedal assist level. The front light is too bright for others so I taped the top layer. Very happy with the throttle to start a journey instead of pressuring your knees. Rotating bell is good (can't be stolen) but my yelling voice still works the best (if needed).Potential improvements for the future:* fixed rear light / brake light; maybe even turn signals* easier plugging-in of the charging cable and the motor cable (XLR fitting maybe?..)* a charger without a loud fan* hydraulic brakes* some labeling on the battery that actually confirms what ampege it has (right now, I think I bought 12 Amps but how do I know that is true?..)* a small rack over the front wheel* battery is easy to remove but putting it on is a bit of a challenge in the beginning (any YouTube videos out there with instructions?)And once that is all implemented, the bike will cost 80,000 rupees.... Haha. So okay. A price ranging between 32,000 and 40,000 rupees, it is a good deal!I will post more once I have more experience.I've considered an Ola ebike but this e-bicycle is a great replacement for it (if you drive within city limits pretty much).:-)D-J

Excellent electric bicycle, but it needs a few critical improvements to be done !
I have tried this electric bicycle from Cycle world store at electronic city, Bangalore. I love so many things about this bicycle, but there is one critical issue that needs to be addressed to make this purchase worthy.Good things first:1. Elegant design with step thru frame makes it truly universal and suitable for men and women of all ages.2. Excellent upright riding posture, thanks to the slightly forward pedal placement and a high (adjustable) + sweptback handlebar3. Strong pull from the motor, makes quick work of inclines too.4. Clever battery placement. Remains hidden from prying eyes and also aids in providing a large access area for mounting the bicycle using the step thru frame.5. Focus on cycling - No digital speedometer, or any unnecessary gadget to take your attention off the road. I see this as a plus, but some may see it as a minus. The negatives:1. No key /lock mechanism for the electronics. If the battery is on the bicycle, any street vandal can mess with the remote control. Even if the rear wheel is locked one can't deny that trying to spin the wheel when it's locked may result in damage of the wheels, spokes, motor, etc. This is a deal breaker, and I avoided purchasing this electric bicycle solely for this reason.2. A few missed opportunities: A. having an integrated frame lock would have been awesome (it can always be supplemented by additional lock/s if required), B. lacks suspension of any kind for the front or rear (I wouldn't complain about this if we had better roads, but sadly, that's not the reality for most of us in India), C. A frame that's friendly for multiple tyre sizes would have helped those wanting to upgrade (the 26inch tyres felt a little smallish for my 5' 10" stature), D. The rotary bell is novel but the sound it makes is hardly enough to alert others on the road. They might as well provide no bell and leave it to the users to purchase a good one that can make a loud ring.3. Scary brand response. I tried calling them for months just to have a test ride taken. Also, I had tried contacting them to customise the bicycle by adding a lock for the electronics. Though they seemed responsive in the beginning and promised to revert back with some solutions, they never did! Looks like they are occupied with other things or this brand may be on its way out. I hope it's the first one, and I hope they give this electric bicycle the attention it deserves.Dear Tilt team, if you're reading this, please address the issues mentioned. You have a wonderful product. It'll be sad to see it fail.

Limited service centres, need more security
Direct service centres available only in Bangalore, Gurgaon and Pune. Other city residents are on their own, having to deal with the challenges spending money out of pocket as early as the bike arrives. Rear reflector should have been on the mud guard. No key authentication, lack of security.I have increased a star after a few months of usage due to its superior battery compared to those in the market. Thank you. Waiting for the centres expansion to all metro cities.

Smooth as a Whistle - Great Product + Great Service
(5/5 stars)If you are looking for an e-bike, Tilt E1 Pro is definitely worth buying! Smooth ride, European design (definitely a conversation starter), Quick charging (2-3 hours) with ~70km range on hybrid cycling and ~32km range on battery power cycling.++ the best thing about them is their service and support team. A great product and a great service - I didn't have to worry much once I bought it. The team also follows up regularly if you need any further assistance (I got my seat customized!).
