Works well for me as a pickup / preamp replacement for my Takamini. It's a little bit too curved for the top of my guitar, so I'll have to see if I can cover that up somehow. But, overall a good buy and seems very affordable for what you get.

I build cigar box guitars, and regularly try different amplification hardware. This is a piezo rod pickup, designed for use in an acoustic instrument. The small footprint of the control panel makes it ideal for a thinner box. The control panel is flat, making it great to install on a flat surface...like a cigar box! Other styles have a curved control panel, made to install on a curved surface, like the upper bout of a uke or acoustic git. It DOES NOT use a battery...gets power from the input cable when you plug it in. This piezo rod pickup is microphonic - it "hears" the sound resonating inside the instrument as opposed to a regular coil-wound pickup that picks up the string vibrations electrically. It will also hear thumps, taps, and other noises the player transmits through the box. This can be a plus to some players, if you can control the thumps and use them rhythmically. For others it just creates annoying extra noises. Ultimately, this is a good, value-priced pickup, pretty easy to install, good volume and tone adjustment. I will be using more of them.

Fit right on to my dreadnaught. Scary cutting into it but was real easy. Has a bit to much high end so you need to adjust accordingly.

Easy to install with a little careful cutting. Tuner is easy to read and works fine for alternate tunings. Tone controls are more than adequate.

Works great. Decent guality. But i would recommend you shave the bridge to compensate for the mic. I didn't and now the action is way to high

I bought this pickup to replace the last one I had. It was easy to install,but the strings kept making a buzzing noise on the pickup. Not sure if this part was moulded correctly.I did a temporary solve using a tiny piece of cotton to dampen the sound. But it doesn't totally go away.I won't totally recommend this one. It is an annoying sound.

I have purchased and installed this item twice before. Ten out of ten in my opinion BUT … this last time was a bit of a let down. Had two that would not work. Third one no problems. Works great

Exelente pastilla preamplificada con ecualizador de 5 bandas. Fue para modificar una guitarra acústica a electroacústica. Y quedó perfecta suena muy bien. La lc-5 de 5 bandas trae su display e indicadores de LED para afinacion de la guitarra. Lo recomiendo

I had been told by a guitar tech that my twenty year old Stagg electro-accoustic guitar was unfixable. Bought this and did it myself. Sounds better than new. Glad to have it back and playing.

Acquistato per rendere una 12 corde elettrificata il pre fa un lavoro eccezionale .. bucata la cassa della misura del preamplifocatore e bucato per l’ingresso jack... buchino anche per inserire il piezo è una limatina al ponte che si è alzato .. suono bello e pulito ... equalizzazione lavora in maniera egregia... consigliatissimo
