Marflow Shower PL8 - Shower Fixing Plate (PL8) 2 Year Guarantee PL8

Saw this product on a YouTube video, bought it on a whim. I don't normally take the time to write a review, and to be honest I saw this in it's packaging and thought about returning it and making my own. Glad I didn't. The pipes are rock solid and at perfect 150 centres. I drilled and countersunk a couple of extra holes to accommodate the stud arrangement, but probably didn't need to. Extremely well designed and made, takes all the headache out of alignment of the pipes and I know that the shower mixer has a solid mount. Absolutely money well spent, great product.

Very good and easy to fit

This was a great idea whoever invented it once you’ve run your 15mm hot & cold pipe work feed the tails through this plate which is machined at the industry standard 150mm spacing and once secured it ain’t going nowhere, very impressed and would defiantly use again on my second bathroom in the loft

Good value for money and does exactly as intended by getting your pipe centres bang on 150mm. Although, as mentioned in previous reviews, there is (in my opinion) a flaw in the design. The supplied fixings that slide over the copper pipe and are fixed in place by compression do not create enough friction on the pipe to securely hold it whilst tightening down the shower valve. If you tighten the valve nuts just a fraction too much the whole thing has to be dismantled and you have to start again. Apart from this, the shower is installed, leak free and working great.

If you're in the position to do a first install ie before all the plasterboard and tile goes in (or can even cut out a section for an after-install) this is what you want. This product makes the install so easy. No fussing about with precise 150mm on-centre measurements for pipe fittings. This plate guarantees. Want to to mess about getting the measurements spot on and haggle with wood and screws that don't want to take precision? Be my guest. For £20 this is foolproof and a joy to work with.

Arrived on time. Easy to fit and makes the piping up for the shower fitting so much easier than without it.

Look at their Youtube video on how to install this and you will realise how brilliant it is. Protruding pipe length is adjustable after pipes fitted, which is life-saving during a complex install. Holds the pipes securely (including in/out movement) which is so much better than having pipe clips etc. Pre-set spacing makes fitting a mixer really easy. This may not be the cheapest solution but you won't regret spending the money I promise you.
