Very sturdy plastic construction with clear installation instructions. The float and the base come apart to make installation of the base on a weighted or stable surface much easier. This was one of the less expensive options I was able to find, but it has worked flawlessly and held up to a harsh outdoor environment with no problems. I don't use it as a bilge pump, I use it in my garden to stop the fountain pumps if the water runs low and it does that job perfectly.

Easy to fit and install - works perfect, much better then my old bilge scum encrusted switch anyway. The base of this switch unclips to aid with installation, which is a big help when you are working through a 6 inch pie plate cover..

Replaced arm type, kept sticking in off. Used to make bilge pump automatic on boat. Also wired strobe alarm light on console, if bilge turns on I have audible and visual notifications. Very pleased with operation and installation instructions

This was ordered and installed back in March (7 months ago) and it's worked well every time the boat was taken out since. The switch turns the bilge pump off and on automatically. No need to trigger it on your own. And it was very easy to install. Works great and so far has been very reliable.

Positive action, always switches 'on' before it's completely immersed. Handles enough current for a big pump AND a loud high-water alarm. GREAT value for the money. Highly recommended!

IT worked great for 3 weeks or so, then the switch stopped activating the pump. I would manually move the float down and let it pop back up and eventually the switch would close and activate the pump and remove the water, but I had to constantly check the water level so I returned the switch.In my situation, the switch was in clean well water. My above ground well pump started to leak a few months ago. I put a doggie pool under the pump to catch the leak, and used this switch with a 12v pump and a car battery (with a battery conditioner on it to keep the battery charged) to remove the water from the pool. Needless to say, the pool would fill with clean, potable water, not the harsh seawater & contaminants you would expect to find in a boat bilge. There's no reason the switch should've failed.On the plus side, Amazon was great & processed the return with no problems.

Used for Burning Man swamp cooler....works perfectly! When the water ran out in the bucket, the switch activated and shut off the fan motor every time, saving our batteries for when they were needed.

This is a good switch for the money. Provides peace of mind while the boat sits in the water at the marina. Worked good all summer, definitely a good purchase.

Bought two of these to replace two switches that had failed. Only been in use for part of a season so far, but they work great and have been reliable.

Bought this to replace a defective bilge pump switch installed easily looks just like the brand name it replaced only time will tell how long it lasts so far it is working perfectly
