When you need a lubricant, but you don't need it as thick as silicone grease, then this is the lubricant for you. It is very useful in the fountain pen hobby when used to lubricate parts like the piston rod on an eyedropper pen used to control the shutoff valve.

I have been using this on o-rings for several years and it is EXCELLENT. Most recently I used it instead of motor on when installing a new set of injectors in a diesel engine and it did the job of allowing the injectors to slide right into place without o-ring damage or pinching. I have also used it in wet applications where the o-ring is part of a fluid seal around electronics, or other sensitive stuff, and it works great.

This stuff is perfect. It's exactly the right viscosity to put on my O-rings on my aquarium filters, my faucet rings, my toilet flappers, and my metal detecting battery compartments. Anywhere you have a silicone gasket/ring you can use this. I love it, and having it around makes it easy to USE (which in the end, makes it easy to protect your stuff).The only thing I DON'T like (which has nothing to do with the quality of the product) is when the bottle gets knocked over, the silicone lubricant leaks out. I just wipe it up, but I can see it making a huge mess if left or on porous surfaces. Just make sure it doesn't tip!
