National Theatre: All About Theatre

A popular book, great for explanations while also being focused on the child.

Sold as used but appeared brand new. Very good priced book .

The book looks great with photos, information, etc (SO MUCH). But the publishing company made a big mistake on back cover, and lucky I only dropped it by 1 star... see the price tag at the bottom in this photo, that is built into the back-cover's artwork/design (cannot remove it).

Although written for children, this is a splendid introduction to the world of live theatre from one of the great performance hubs of the world, Britain's National Theatre. The book encompasses everything about stage performance and is written in a way that is, of course, accessible to children yet very informative for the older reader. Language is clear and concise and illustrations are very well chosen to augment the text.Any young person contemplating a career in acting or any aspect of theatre life would welcome it as a gift.It also contains information about some of the National's iconic productions of the recent past.

Arrived on time , an excellent book, contains everything a drama student would need to know when entering theatre workshops. Useful terminologies for the student, in particular for exams. I visited RSC Stratford Upon Avon with view to buying something for my own little drama queens & this book was there, I found nothing else could compete with this useful, well presented book. So well done Amazon.

Had a brief look at this book and it looks promising: plenty of photographs and comprehensive accounts of what goes behind the scenes in the theatre.

Fantastic book for budding theatre performers, or those interested in theatre. Amazing pictures, beautifully produced and some great behind the curtain info, fantastic read.

Bought for a nephew who loves theatre and film. I am sure he will love reading through it time and agsin
