Hexagon Lights: High Brightness 220W, 25,960 LM, 6500K Hexagon Garage Lights, Hexagon LED Lights 6 Grid for Garage, Shopping Mall, Workshop and Car Detailing Shop etc

I have installed many of these hexagon light sets in several different places. Since I needed so many, I thought it would be nice to see what's different about them, what I like or don't like about them, so I have gotten several different types, brands & sizes. These seem to be one of the more common styles. It comes with some extra accessories that I like, but it has one feature I really don't like.This set of light is bright and provides plenty of light. It is a nice bright light, supposedly 6500K. I don't have anything to measure the actual K value, but from other things that are supposed to be around that temperature, I would say it is accurate. Installed in a honeycomb design, the area below it is virtually shadowless and I love the looks of it. Going beyond the edges, the light does fall off rather quickly, but that's common with all of these.There are two extra accessories this set comes with many others don't that I like. One is on the power cord that plugs in to a regular outlet, there is an on/off toggle. Most don't have that and you can only control it by plugging it in. The second accessory is metal brackets that you can attach to the ceiling (or other surface) that the LED bars clip into. This accessory helps negate the main feature I don't like about these lights.The main thing I don't like about these lights is the prong on the connectors for the lights where you can mount them to whatever surface you want them mounted to. This prong has a hole in it for you to put a screw through and screw into the ceiling. However, the prong is 1/4" away from whatever you're screwing it into instead of being flush with it. If you are not careful, you break it off and then have no way of securing it.The connectors for these lights are also some of the weakest I have run into. They do have a piece you push through the connector, into the light bar that is supposed to keep it secure. It works somewhat, but if you have even just a couple hexagons created and try to lift them up, these don't hold and they light bars fall out of the connectors. Many of my other sets, even without something securing them through a hole, stay in the connectors better than these. Once they're up, that's probably not going to be much of an issue, but it can make it a little trickier to install them.Overall, these are a nice set of lights that put out great light. Not my favorite set or style, but still a decent purchase.

After only a.few months of use the entire hex blew and is useless now.

Truth be told, I have not had time to completely install these lights, so as a test, I opted to add one hex to my current lights in my attached garage.As you can see from the attached image, the light output and color is very similar, so I am quite pleased by that.Here's is where I've learned the folly of my plans to purchase multiple small sets of hexagon lights and install them together.The dimension of these light bars is actually different from my other sets of light bars and therefore, the connectors do not match. So, buyer beware that if you wish to piecemeal your light set up, you should probably stick to a single manufacturer to ensure your dimensions and connectors are all the same.Overall, the quality is identical to my other hexagon light sets (3 in total) and just 3 hexagons do a great job of lighting up my attached 2-car garage (although I plan to continue adding more hexagons because they look so darn good). As a comparison, my garage previously utilized 4 x 36" fluorescent bulbs which did not provide near the amount of light as 3 hexagons.Installation can be a little frustrating but they are worth it! Highly recommend!

These lights are nice! They look and feel good quality and well made. They are easy to install and arrange/customize. The lights are bright! These will be perfect for working in the garage at night!

They are quite a good deal of hex light kits available which can make it hard to know which one to decide on for your project. I'm sure price has a lot to do with it and the price for this one is middling range for the lights.I would say another big feature is the material used to make the frame of light. This particular one is all plastic hence the good price. If your project is more extensive and you plan on adding more lights I would go with something with an aluminum housing.The lights themselves are relatively bright, not the brightest in the game but good for the price.Overall it's a decent choice. It's easy to install, relatively low priced and easy to assemble. The materials are not great but they're good, so not a bad buy.Until We Meet Again-Off The Grid Ken
